The wicket is hard, there is some grass, and there are some early cracks around about the good length spot at one end. Basically, it should be decent for batting right through, but likely will slow down a touch as the game goes on. The grass is giving early movement, as much to do with dew and recent rains as the grass itself. What the cracks will do though is anyone's guess -- it could be benign, or alternately, a ball that hits it, as it opens up with the sun beating down on the pitch, could do magic.
