Frankly speaking, I know your bias in favor of Ganguly and against Dravid. But your bias doesnt change the fact that when Ganguly was ousted from captaincy, India was placed at number 7 in ODI ranking-so much for the greatness of captaincy. As a player, I have, or for that matter, any one has nothing against him. Issues of him being vulnerable against fast bowlers or fast pitches are bullshit and he is a great ODI batsman. But life can exist without captaincy as well.
