Army Of Non-Doers
by Ramelton Pandya on Dec 05, 2007 09:40 AM

At least Dilip stood tall against BCCI and firm too. Congratulations to the man.

Let me remind everyone of just one previous instance when a player stood up solid against BCCI. Sunny Gavaskar had requested permission to join the team a few days later instead of traveling with the team so that he could attend to a very important personal matter.

BCCI threatened to drop Sunny. He did not relent. Board went ahead and dropped him from the Windies tour.

Sunny had the last laugh. With him not in the Indian team, the West Indies Board Cancelled the whole tour. Hee Hee Hee.

I hope and wish Dilip to have the last laugh in this matter against BCCI. And yes, he was quite right about Dravid. Dravid informed BCCI and not Chairman of selectors about quitting captaincy. Why should Dilip bother about informing Dravid of dropping him. What goes round comes round.

All those who want to criticise men who stand up against insanity only deserve to call themselves names. No one else needs to dirty their hands wrting about such army of non-doers
