The point being made was Kirsten was racist - my argument was that the statements that were made suggest he is a bad traveller, but not necessarily a racist. That said, India in 2007 is different from what it was in 1996 - also peoples perspectives change (money may play a significant role in that too). BCCI just needs to make him an offer he can't refuse.
