How to make India world-beaters?
by Mukesh Mane on Nov 01, 2006 11:27 AM

I think, Indian team has lost that fire to ride on top of the opposition. They showed a glimpse of it against Srilanka last year, but they are again back to square-one. They should really focus on not just Winning the match, but 'RECORD-BREAKING WINNING' the matches against any team. Too much favoritism to Sehwag who fails in 10 matches and plays in 1, then again fails in 10 matches. He is still in the team. Do we treat the same way to Raina, Hemang Badani, Mongia, Kaif? These guys whenever included, they by and large perform and show their presence. In the last match against Australia of ICC trophy on 29th Oct, where was the fire to cross 300 mark, they were just trying to cross 250 which was peanuts for Aussies and India knows it very well. Still????

Change the coach, shuffle non-performers, fire the players, do whatever you want, unless the team has fire to kill the opposition, forget World Cup, We cannot even win a Local Cup.

Best Regards,
Mukesh Mane.
