I absolutely agree with this take. He is not doing good enough to be retained in the team. It happens in international cricket that opponents get to know the weaknesses of a player and just hit on those areas. Same thing is happening with Pathan. He must work out his minuses with playing in domestic cricket. Zaheer was not doing well when he was left out of the team. He played domestic, grinded himself and see what he is doing now. He is in best of his bowling at the moment. Everybody want to see Pathan taking wickets, hitting sixes but if he is not doing the expected, he must be given some time to work out himself, strengthening his strengths, eliminate his weaknesses.
I think its just the right move taken by the Team Management/Board.
