Wright Blasting Not-So-Right(Sehwag)
by Raza on Aug 15, 2006 10:10 PM

Former coach John Wright had done the right thing in scruffing up Verander Shewag in 2002.He'd just released his pent-up emotions against Veeru who was(& still is) in the habit of throwing away his wicket in the name of "natural play".It was a simple case a guru venting his anger against an indisciplined sishya. What else?
Besides,Ganguly was totally wrong in demanding an apology from the coach. His holier-than-thou attitude was misplaced.John Wright was a coach not some ordinary clerk that he'd to render an apology. That'd indeed have punctured his position & authority & responsibility as a coach.
