Everyone saw the captaincy of Rahul Dravid in Sri Lanka.It was one of the finest displays of a thinkin head.The way he rotated the bowlers and set his field placements was brilliant.
On the other hand Gangulys body language was far from impressive in Zimbabwae.
Agreed that chopping and changing the team would be disasterous,but a new captain with a fresh view is the need of the hour.Azharuddin said in one of the telephonic interviews on a channel that its important for the captain to take suggestions from seniors players including the vice captain.But the feeling goes that Ganguly never seems to do that.Rarely have we seen him consulting Dravid(vice captian) for any kind if advice in crunch situations.
Having said that,Ganguly can be a great batsman if he starts actually concentrating on his batting .It seems that he is too much eager to hold on to his post that he is forgetting hopw to bat!!
He looked absolutely out of sorts against Bonds pace.Surprising for a batsman who has scored "over 10 thousands runs".
It must have been disheartning for Dravid who inspite of good leadership(even though we lost) had to simply pass on the captaincy to Mr.Dalmiys blue eyed boy..to be con
