Three teams with young and experienced players are playing at Mohali. It is, however, strange to observe that not a single player is from Orissa. It is needless to say that some Orissa players in recent years have played well in domestic circle, and players like S.S. Das and Debasish Mohanty did contribute handsomely to Indian cricket in international tournaments. Instead of nurturing young players like these from Orissa, they have been permanently dumped !! Does it make any sense ? At least the Rly spinner Kulamani Parida should have got a berth in some team. Well strange are the attitudes of BCCI and The Selection Committee. Dr. K. Mallick
