foreign coach
by mayan on Apr 22, 2005 07:14 PM

i differ with mr.wadekar on this issue. sure, he has been one of india's more successful coaches, but his overseas record is poor. it took a foreign coach to bring some cheer on this front.when wright became coach there was a hue and cry about "foreign coach" and his "communication problem". of late mr.b.s.bedi also has opposed hiring a foreign coach. it is all starting to sound like a "sons of the soil" argument. in my opinion a proffessional coach with proven credentials should be selected by the BCCI, as soon as possible, regardless of his nationality. if he is not preforming, you have the option of replacing him.
