I disagree with Wadekar's comment when he put Patil in same bracket of Kapil and Gavaskar. Patil definitely was not a great player. His statisitc will speak of this. With the experience of Wadekar who tried to push only Mumbai player, we know the narrow regional outlook of our coaches. There can be exceptions. But to make it full proof better to have an overseas coach
