UNESCO has done it now, as if we don%u2019t know what VEDAS are. But WHAT INDIA i.e. BHARAT has done, do we know? Max Muller was thrust on India to tell us more than a century back as to 'what we are' and what are our %u2018heritage and culture. Later, Macaulay came to teach us as to how to CONVERSE in ENGLISH? China, for that matter has just opened its doors and is teaching not only English but Hindi as well for %u2018commercial%u2019 matters in tune with present times. Vedas are Supreme and unalterable and have been preserved by scholars for 5000 years despite invasion after invasion just because they were carried from generation to generation by word of mouth. I don%u2019t think UNESCO can do any thing better in improving our %u2018heritage%u2019 except that a delegation of %u2018pseudo- secularists%u2019 may visit to receive the %u2018coveted%u2019 honour and enjoy free hospitality by the Government of India. Modern India doesnt deserve anything Hindu...Hinduism belongs to the world, and is a global religion..independent India with its insane secularism has done more harm to Hinduism & Hindu than the British !

Dear IndianBoy, I didnt run away. I am here only, but doing my other work also. I have already make it clear that ALL true Religions are from ONE TRUE GOD, and Islam is the FINAL and LATEST Religion. Becoz, religions are from ONE ALMIGHTY GOD, you may find many things similiar in religious scripture and practices. And ALL TRUE Religions preaches MONOTHEISM (BELIFE IN ONE AND ONLY ONE TRUE GOD), Love not only towards Humans but all the Creatures and other all the good things. From the starting of ISLAM only, some people claimed that ISLAM will be finsihed. But in reality, those people were/are finsihed, not ISLAM!! ISLAM will remain forever!!
The sacred Rig Veda had survived for these many centuries and will survive for several more to come. Whether UNESCO preserves it not really doesn't matter.
When I first read this gentleman Ibrahim's first post, I thought "here is a sane man from an intolerant religion who has against all admonishments from his religious leaders, has managed to read other scriptures, finally one can actualy engage in a sane discussion with a man from thsi religion".
Alas it was not be. He starts in a sane fashion, but he has to reveal his truee colors -a rabid proselytizer, a man with a hidden agenda, as intolerant any of his co-religionists, using clever word play to confuse. And true to form, little fact or sane argument to back up his fantastic premises.
A pity, but why am I not surprised ?
Anyway a small request to turn to what this is really about - the plight of those lakhs of kashmiri pandits who have become refugees in their own land!

OK Sorry, this thread is not about kashmiri pandits, but about rigveda at unesco, I had just read the other news..
i had gone through Stephen Hawking's book "The Big Bang to Black Hole" when it was first published.two year back i came across upanishads.when i read these scriptures,i found out the similarity b/w upanishad and Hawking's book.whatever is said in upanishad is repeated in this book.ie.literally he was reinventing the creation of our universe,its existence and its end which is already mentioned in the vedas.

Siva, at philoshphical level also , what vedas and upnishada says are 100% correct. Some Richa of vedas say "Ekam Sat vipra bahuda vadanti" ( there is one trith which people narrate in different manner. one says " Let good ideas come to us from all the direction".
Thre are many which talk about humanity and not about the individual. This the greatness of Vedas.
So who have slightest regard for vedas cannot be closed minded and selfish. Vedas are modern in the field of science/ philosophy
