Farewell !
by Ajit SJ on Mar 31, 2007 01:10 PM  Permalink

Thank you for all the moments of joy and happiness that you gave us with every wicket especially the 1998/99 series against Pak.
You have given some wonderful moments to Indian Cricket. Pls do continue in tests and help us win some matches.....We are woefully short of good spinners and at the moment u are the only one we have.

Looking forward to seeing you bamboozle batsmen in tests.

Ajit

very well said.

in the earlier stages of his career, kUmble wasn't effective overseas but he changed his bowling to suit those pitches in the latter satges. At least in India he has won many many matches against top teams such as the Aussies.

Gentleman Kumble
by kapil sharma on Mar 31, 2007 12:54 PM  Permalink

From all the news/reviews/articles related to our beloved cricketers, its very clear that Kumble is a well behaved gentleman, who knows nothing but to put in his best for the country!!! From what I've learnt from a good friend of mine who used to be in touch of these cricketers when his company was their main sponsor, is that Kumble was one gentleman always down to earth and undemanding. Unlike other self declared super stars(Like Yuvi/Sehwag ..etc) who don't want to put their feet on ground. Kudos to Kumble and shame on the likes of Sehwag etc...

Kumble The Real Killer
by Prasanna Kumar on Mar 31, 2007 12:50 PM  Permalink

Kumble is one of the best spinner in the world, even people says he was not good fielder also he has not given up any time. he was putting 100% efforts in feild whether it is with the ball or bat. He should open cricket academy for coaching young crickers and produce his replacement in Indian team. only kumble can create his replacement by coaching his talent.

HE IS ONLY PLAYER I HAVE SEEN EVER THAT NEVER HIGHLIGHTED HIMSELF LIKE OTHER TEAMMATES. THAT'S WHY HE WAS ALWAYS KEPT IN BACKSIDE INSTEAD OF THE BEST PERFORMANCE IN EVERY TOURNAMENT BUT I PERSONALLY KEPT PAYING MY REGARD TO THIS GENTLE CRICKETER. SO AT LAST THE BEST WISHES FROM MY SIDE FOR HIS SECOND INNING OF THE CAREER.

IN INDIA INDIANS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR BOWLERS.ONLY BATSMEN ARE WORSHIP HERE. LOOK AT KUMBLE'S PERFORMANCE, HE IS A REAL MATCH WINNER.YESTERDAY I WAS WATCHING SOME NEWS CHANNELS FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMMES ON KUMBLE BUT NO ONE NEWS CHANNELS TELECAST SPECIAL PROGRAMME ON HIM EVEN THERE HIS RETIREMENT HAD NO PLACE IN HEADLINES. BUT I REMEMBER WHEN SHANE WARNE TOOK 700 WICKETS THEN THERE WAS " VISHESH" ON AAJTAK AND " KHABRON KI KHABAR" ON NDTV INDIA. SHAME SHAME. THERE IS NO RESPECT FOR A GREAT BOWLER. BUT IT IS GREAT THAT OTHER GREATS OF DIFFERENT COUNTRIES RESPECT HIM.THERE IS A SAYING "GHAR KA JOGI JOGRA DUSRE GAON KA SIDHH".

Ravi
I went through all messages on the board.I am fully agree with you. There were programmes on shane warne, Murali and other player including sachin in the past but not on Kumble Bhai. But don't worry after reading messages on the board I come to this conclusion that there are so many Indians who love our Kumble. HE IS GREATEST.And he needs no media hype, even when he was on top (according to media)he love to hate these things , now tell me is there any necessity. Our fellow countrymen like him, respect him , that's all. WE LOVE YOU KUMBLE.WISHING YOU GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR FUTURE.

Kumble is a well educated player and that shows in his attitude. When on field he is fiercely competitive, outside he is thorugh gentleman. But we in India like the stunt and drama of 10th pass lads
