Kumble was a match winner for India. His absence in the team is really a considerable factor for BCCI. Its difficult to find an alternative in the near future. Lets all greet the highest wicket taker of India for his successful career.

i only wonder whats on your mind uttam kumar ? set some uttam example by constructive criticism. i see you blazing across the discussion with some pointless points, mostly rants, and somehow trying everyone to get worked up. so is your aim to rustle and get the worst out of everyone ? are you a troll aiming only to disrupt the board ?
Kumble was the best. but his main strength though is Test cricket.
He gives 100% all the time
He is a match winner.
He has performed all over the world.
He has won matches for India single handedly.
He has a never say die approach.
His greatness lies in the fact that he never had any one helping hand on the otherside. So i would rate him one ahead of warne. Warne was great but then he always had mcgrath and others to help him out.
One of the most important thing is that inspite of not getting what was due to him he kept performing. Salute to this guy. he has been better than sachin most of the times as far as performance is concerned.
may we see him in test cricket for another 1-2 years.

I agree with u. But others will consider it one man show (They will call it as a selfishness). They don't know about the Selfishness meaning. while one person is performing, y not others.
Example:- if sachin makes 100 and if india loosess while chasing is it his fault. y other r not contributing while chasing. Is it selfishness? (Consider the other performance good / bad) But give them a helping hand while in crisis or not.

I am not authorised to speak about Kumble's bowling abilities but it has certainly been a pleasure and a treasure to have Anil Kumble in the Indian side. As many people believe India won the WC by chance, but Cricketers like him kept the hope alive that may be next time we get it by our abilities. Anil has definitely not been used properly by the selectors barring a few years patch in his early days. I would like to see Anil Kumble as a Coach for the Indian team, And I bet that is when we again will expect to win the WC. Good bye Indian Cricket as of now.
Kumble was a thorough Gentleman in cricket ... his exit will be missed ... I agree he has won more matches for India then the other team players .........

But the truth is that they took Kumble to to world cup but did not let him play in crucial matches but kept him in reserve ........
I also agreed that Harbhajan is not as gr8 spinner & match winner as Kumble. We must accept the main reason of loossing the key matches due to POOR BOWLING performance. If we had KUMBLE in the side then we could reached super8. But let it b, Indian think tank must be realised that we've done big mistake by not selecting KUMBLE. Now we've loosed the gr8 GMES. Best LUCK for the man who deserved all the credit.

You must understand the problems of Bengal fans. A player like Ganguly came to Indian cricket after such a long time. They do not want to leave him and the next best crickter in Bengal now seems to be the son of a former arrogant cricketer who does not belong to Bengal
So they are happy and continue to be happy as long he is in the team. Forget about India !!
He has taken good decission on his retirement. He is too old now to play cricket and that to compete to young generation. Also there are enough talented bolwers coming now.
There are also some other points on his retirement like he did not get enough chance to play in this world cup. He should thanks to Rahul as he had been selected in this world cup. He also offered the special thanks to Rahul in his goodbye message, which we appreciate highly.
After all good luck to Kumble. Thank you very much for serving Indian cricket for a long time.
