Dravid must resign
by Uttamkumar on Mar 29, 2007 10:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the past many great cricketers resigned from Captaincy taking the responsibility of their defeat in WC or other major tournament. Although all 11 players played with the captain.

So if Dravid is a gentleman he should resign from Captaincy taking the blame that he could
not lead the team in right way.

In Srilanka Jaysurya, Attapatu resigned from the captaincy after the team defeated.
In South Africa Shawn Pollock resigned after their team lost in last world cup.
Many other gentleman of other teams resigned from the captaincy taking the responsibility of
the defeat but continue playing for the team.

Dravid should also resign gracefully before he is sacked.

I think Mr.More is the main accused for this show in the maega evevt by an Indian Team he with Mr Chappell has shaked the total indian teaam like a milk shake which i think is the main reason due to which we are unable to find the form of sehwag or pathan .he is saying that he is going to find a youngster which ih torch beare of indian cricket in future but by seeing Uthappa i am clear of indian cricket future .Mr Vengsarkar has done a good job by sending this team to carribean in such a short period of time but what Mr.More has done previously is still hurting and will go on for coming days all his findings such as ( raina, venu, gambhir, etc.)all r (char din ki chandani) if u frnds know Uthappa just playing some shots booked a ticket to west indies and we all know wat he has done i dont want to tell any more

Revitalizing Team
by on Mar 29, 2007 06:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. The following players are the legends of the indian cricket team ofcourse! they played too much of cricket in their career and should retire from the ODI team to give way to the youngsters. They have earned lot of money from ads and can enjoy their rest of life happily with family. In india we have young talent across the country. If the seniors not interested to retire voluntirely then BCCI should not select them for ODI atleast.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh

2. BCCI should restrict the players not to sign contract for any ads for atleast couple of years.

3. Rahul Dravid should continue as captain and make Youvraj Singh as his deputy and Greg as coach.

4. Give freedom to the captain and coach to pick the team. No chance to politics!!

5. If the player is not performing consistently even after six chances then replace the player with a new player. It creates too much competition between young players until there are no politics.

I bet we are going to see a very good cricket team.

RESULT OF YOUR SO CALLED GOOD CAPTAIN....WE ARE OUT OF THE WORLD CUP & SAME THING HAPPENED IN CHAMPIONS TROPHY.....I CAN SEE HOW GOOD DRAVID IS....
EVERYONE WOULD HAVE GIVEN CREDIT TO CHAPPEL AND DRAVID IF INDIA HAD WON THE WORLD CUP.....BUT WE ALL KNOW...DRAVID & CHAPPEL DONT DESERVE THAT...
ITS PAYBACK TIME....IS IS THE RESULT OF WHAT DRAVID DID TO GANGULY.....ITS CALLED KARMA...EVERYONE KNEW WHAT DRAVID DID WAS WRONG...BUT BECAUSE INDIA WAS WINNING IN INDIA NOONE DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT...
INDIA DOESNT DESERVE TO GO OUT OF TEH WORLD CUP LIKE THAT...BUT DRAVID DESERVES THIS AND SO DOES CHAPPEL....DRAVID HAS TO CHOOSE HE WANTS TO BE REMEMBERED AS A GREAT BATSMAN,TEAM PLAYER...WHO PLAYED FOR INDIA OR THE WORST CAPTAIN....LIKE SACHIN WILL BE REMEMBERED MORE FOR THE 90 HE SCORED AGAINST PAKISTAN IN 2003 WORLD CUP THEN MOST OF HIS HUNDREDS....

PEOPLE STILL REMEMBER THAT KAPIL TOOK A BRILLIANT CATCH OF VIV RICHARDS TO WIN THE WORLD CUP...NOONE REMEMBER HOW MANY RUNS HE SCORED OR WICKETS HE TOOK....

INDIA WAS SUPPOSE TO PAY THE PRICE FOR THREE IDIOTS WHO DESTROYED INDIAN CRICKET...
KIRAN MORE GREG CHAPPEL RAHUL DRAVID.......

Steve Waugh said it right " Indians only Play for Records" they are not clutch players who can deliver in crunch situations.

Your most popular cricketers are coming home to India tail between their legs not being able to reach the Super Eights and beaten by the lowly Bangla Desh.

Even now is your choice the Losing Popular Team India to Winning Unpopular Australia?

Australians are ready to spill their blood and guts on the field to win the 2007 Cricket World Cup. If they think it is not enough, they are ready to spill the blood and guts of their opponents to win.

Do you want to know what is the root cause of the great Indian annihilation, Mr.Sunil Gavaskar?

Our Cricket stars are more worried about losing their cricket sex appeal (this phrase is patented!) and the consequent ad rakings than about winning and losing a cricket match.

In effect Sunny, they do not want to lose their popularity. And in chasing popularity, they have lost everything including their popularity.

Ever heard a popular quotation? %u201CHappiness is like a butterfly. If you chase it, you may not catch it, but if you sit still it may descend upon you.%u201D

Replace the happiness with popularity. Team India is chasing popularity not excellence in cricket.

Popularity should be the effect not the cause. The great Indian Cricket team, with tiger stripes painted on their faces, thinks popularity is the cause and hence this greatest of debacles. You want clearer definition of Cause and Effect.

You play excellent cricket (cause), and you become popular (effect). But Indian cricket stars think they are popular (cause) and hence they by, default, should play excellent cricket (effect). And people like you by making them demigods fuel this madness.

Why you make them demigods is to increase your salability is a known thing. But by creating this hype and hoopla about Indian Cricket, you are killing real cricket played by Australia. The batting of Heyden, Ponting, Clarke etc was real cricket Sir, and what the Indian Cricket Team played in the 2007 is a cheap imitation.

I define the quality of Australian Cricket today as Sublime. It is attained by hours and hours of practice and saint like discipline, sweat, pain, sacrifice and self-denial.

And you have the effrontery to make derogatory remarks to them? Mend your ways, Sir, before it is too late! You did it, to a certain extent, by apologizing to David Hooke's family. But that is not enough, a full scale apology is due.

You know what the opponents feel when our, once great, Sachin Tendulkar takes guard. HOPE!

But when Ricky Ponting takes guard. FEAR!

In India cricketers should not only be able to play cricket, but should be photogenic also, so that the Colas and Pepsis can promote their worse than human urine like soft drinks, using the beautiful faces of Sachin, Dravid etc. Remember, %u201COoh, Aah, India....%u201D

Ramesh Powar is a better one-day bowler than Harbhajan Singh in today%u2019s form. He was not picked because he is not good looking. You were a better cricketer than me, so I need not have to tell you this. Observe closely how Ramesh Powars delivers moves in the air. You call it %u201Cdrift%u201D in cricketing language. Harbhajan of today does not have it. An off spinner without the %u201Cdrift%u201D is a toothless tiger.

All this is because of self serving servants of the Indian cricket who have established themselves in the garb of cricket experts, cricket commentators, cricket administrators, cricket advisors, cricket selectors.

Ricky Ponting ups his batting to the next niche when the opposition, the situation of the match is toughest.

And your so-called Popular Cricketers up their batting when the opposition is the hapless Bermuda and when there is nothing in the bowling

Changing the Coach and Captaincy will not be a right decision. On what grounds people are asking to change Coach? What can he do if our favourite world class batsmen are not performing? The batsmen (all the senior players) should be suspended for not performing. Ganguly does not deserve captaincy at this point of time.

Tendulkar - Is he God of Cricket?
by Prem Karat on Mar 29, 2007 05:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Need to think?...I was an ardent fan of Tendulkar and have fought with my friends whenever they said he never peforms when it mattered. But now I feel they are correct. It's time for Tendulkar to Say Goodbye. Could you think of anything apart from Sharjah and against pakistan in last worldcup where he has performed when it required. I would say Michael Bevan was GOD of one day cricket

dear friend think of Sachin as a captain. and his performance while he was a captain and Dravid as a captain and his performance during captaincy. only captain cant do every thing in team, all others must also perform and it is there responsibility to perform. i think you understand.

Mr. More you have damaged a lot to INDIAN cricket becoming slave of a white GREIG CHAPEL
and declared his puppet Dravid as captain of INDAIN
team more than a year ago which never happened to any country. Dravid's supporters who wanted to
him the most/best successful captain are hiding their pathetic and ugly faces.
shame on you Kiron More..
