suggestion to bcci
by anjan datta on Mar 29, 2007 02:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

now it is the time to remove dravid from the captaincy and bring back ganguly again as the captain for at least one year and appoint yuvraj singh as his deputy, who will prepare himself as the future captain of indian cricket team under the guidence of the greatest captain of indian cricket. no need to keep greg chappel as coach coz his strategy was totally failed. we should appoint a good coach not a good retired player. team selection should be more fair where we should consider only the performance of domestic and international cricket. as example, the best batsman and bowler in ranji trophy are out of the squad. yes i am talking about randev bose and monoj tiwari.

Why not the entire Bengal team, Anjan Datta with Ganguly LEADING THE TEAM. His killer instinct is mirrored in 66 off 129 balls against Bangladesh.

dravid is only a good batsman. but a worst captain who cann't motivate his teammates. he has not the ability to lead team by standing in the front. we all are the stupid fellow campaing dravid with ganguly. ganguly is a great player in one day cricket who can bring win for his team but dravid is only a good player has no ability to bring win for his team. it is not my opinion, records say it. now the time to remove dravid from the captaincy and bring back ganguly again as the captain for at least one year and appoint yuvraj singh as his deputy, who will prepare himself as the future captain of indian cricket team under the guidence of the greatest captain of indian cricket.

Don't blame Dravid and Chappell: More
by sowmya shanta on Mar 29, 2007 12:32 PM  Permalink

Perhaps More is trying to say that "you can't blame the coach and the captain for it. It's a total collective failure------------ & please include my name in the list......."

Roll back
by sunilkumar mishra on Mar 29, 2007 12:03 PM  Permalink

Perhaps rediff u have run out of news or u donot want to see anything post world cup and to take everybody back to pre-cup hypes which were so good full of hope and expecttaions. lIKE YOUR NEWS , the old guard donot seem to be doing anything silly like quitting the scene hoping to see off the initial anger of the Indian fan. As expected most of the retired seniors like Gavas, Kapils, Vengis, Mores, Anshus, Chetans , etc. have started rallying around the old guards in a willy turnaround of their comments immediately after the debacle. There is surely something bigger stake for major shake-up much beyond the comprehension of the simplistic brains of the passionate fans. It is like filmdom and polity of the country where nobody thinks of retirement plans. It is different world.

Dravid & Chappel must resign
by Peeyush Maheshwari on Mar 29, 2007 11:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am agree from the Kiran More statement that the coach can not make a champion in 18 months but as far as last world cup performance concerned that the performance of indian team is going down and down because of coming these Dravid and Chappel. Dravid is not an aggressive captain as Ganguly. Many time Dravid is making mistakes for selecting the team & regarding toss decisions. Why he should continue? One more thing if Chappel is not satisfy this team then why don't he take on early stage that I am not satisfy this team. I can not take any responsibility for the World Cup.

poor peeyush
did u forget the victories of indian team(DRAVID THE CAPTAIN)6-1,5-1,4-1,2-1,3-1 AGAINST PAK,SRILANKA,.....LOSS IN WORLD CUP IS ONLY BECAUSE OF SLOW BATTING PERFOMANCE OF GANGULY AS AN OPPENER

Ganguli is the only batsman who performed consistantly otherwise they would even have lost to Bermuda... :) Not including Irfan Phathan or Kumble was the main cause. 7th batsman can not make as many runs as a additional bowler can stop and create pressure by taking wickets. I was surprised to see that Dravid depending on Sachin, Ganguli for bowling against Sri Lanka...what a pity. It was bad team selection and Ganguli did the best job among all.

Select me as a selector
by bimal parida on Mar 29, 2007 11:26 AM  Permalink

I want to ask Mr.More what he has done in his playing days nothing if in his view if its not important that u should be from cricketing background or u should hav experience of playing international cricket then plz appoint me as a selector i would a good job for indian cricket than u as i m really dissapointed by this show From this article itself its clear that where Mr More wants to take Indian Cricket its the right time for Mr.dravid to quit captaincy and Mr.Greg should be sent garcefully to Austalia as he has done a good job for his country i.e Australia not India because we have reached the final of 2003 against Australia.and captain should be made by keeping future in my mind dont appoint Sachin or Ganguly as a captain because they have only few years of cricket left in them and by seeing this show by them they r not going to play next WC2011 so think of Yuvraj he has a good cricketing knowledge and as well as agression .
