A captain is somebody who scores high on strategy, motivation, and his own game. Dravid is only good at his own game, the way he plays it. I am not sure if Dravid is a good motivator and strategist. I think Sachin is good strategist, but lack motivation and does not do well under pressure. Ganguly had all 3 qualities but a slump in form led to his downfall. If Ganguly is not willing then sachin would be the ideal choice. But then Sachin's last innings performance will make the majority of the nation boil. So retain dravid and chappel and go further. Identify potentially new canditates for captaincy. As of now its yuvaraj but he is he responsible. With him as the captain indian cricket will be more on page-3. That Page is not so good.
Sachin, Dravid, Shewag, Gangualy, Kumble, Laxman from test team. They should go home. now they are not playing for national but for money only they playing

Agreed about Sachin, Dravid, Shewag, Gangualy & Kumble but Laxman is different. His test record is brilliant and he has zero ads

Pls dont talk abt unfit and pathetic Laxman. Look at his fielding and running between the wickets.

Guys Wake up stand up to the reality. Just after the appointment to the post of Chief selctor, his wife (out of the blue) becomes a designer and launches a jewellry collection in front of the cricket team ...just before the world cup...what was she doing before that...players cannot help but buy that stuff otherwise....you know better....it hapens only in india.. Ever heard in a teamgame(anywhere in the world)a player owning 45 cars (not marutis and santro's)...well it happens only in india...what will other team members think of that in this poor nation...obviously to earn more and more money ..come what may..
Ever seen a player publicly demonstrating his loyalty to the Chairman BCCI by queing up(with family) for voting at a local mumbai election...well it happens only in India....and then they say that it is just a game....It is not just a game ...it has become a big dirty ,stinking business....it is a nexus of selfish, masterialistic players and corrupt politiians....straightforward australians like Chappel dont stand a chance here....Wat the hell is he doing here...

Sachin, ganguly and Sehwag are shit man. Just look there record against big teams. Sachin average in big mathes is 8 only. He should kicked form Indian team.
I agree that it is not fair to blame the coach and the captain for our failure. Every player that did not perform is responsble and should blame himself and work hard on how to handle preasure. Our loss at the WC is a serious one.
We as citizens of India should also must stay away from atacking the personal properties and family members of our players. If we are knowledgable about cricket then we can critique
our game and players with dignity.
More than any thing we need to support our Indian team especially at this time of their defeat. Whatever the performance they deserve our affection and acceptance. We all are Indians and one family irrespective of our performance and results. Praveen Aaron.
something here is true. because we cant blame R.Dravid and G.Chappel for failure of indian team. the selectors done the wrong. and Sharad pawar showing his political power on Indian cricket team saying we remove senior persons and include junior players. if the junior are play? why indian cricket getting political wing? accept win/lose on sport spirit not on blank mind. if the TEAM INDIA has failure, think the reason, dont put your words captain and coach. any way, indian cricket turning to political teampressure group.
Oh yes. We won't blame Dravid and Chappell. It is YOU who is to blame Mr.More. India team would have been very much better off if it hadn't been you last year.

You are right Mr.Sanjay. Who is Kiran More?!!!!!!! what he knows about cricket? first let him go with the Australian team and ask him to learn cricket from them.

Sanjay is right! More should be kicked out of the Indian cricket. It was he who was the main culprit to split the Team India.
If we would be in the WC, Crores of viewers were wasting their time. Thank god, Our team is out. Our poor and middle class members of public will now go to the work, they will earn more and help thier own family, society and nation. Their children will get education. All students wiil give their exams. in peaceful mind. May we contine this trend for upcoming of our nationals and society. Cricket is entertainment of general public. Money spinners for cricketers, bookies, corporates and media. And NO SPORTS to anybody.

It Shows how disturb are you in real with the poor performance of India, otherwise you wouldn't have been wasting your time writing messages in this discussion board. I have full sympathy with your mental condition ;)
you are correct MR more no need to blame any body our exit in the world cup is due to poor batting, fileding, bowling by bermuda in a crucial match against bangladesh so coach and captain of bermuda should be sacked i totally agree with you ;)
I don't agree with you at all. How can you expect a novice team to perform against a more experienced team. But yes you can expect a dumb-ass show by an experienced team against a minnow.
How can you ignore the way Indian team played in the matches? I know, in cricket, performance on field on the day matters but I believe we have lost count of such days when performance of Indian team on the field has been dismal.
