Partially agree with you
by Sunil Tiwari on Mar 28, 2007 11:32 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Mr.More..i agree with you partially that our batting was totally Flop show. we should consider to force Sachin, Saurav, Kumble, Rahul to retire with immediate effect.
Dump Chappell in Gate way of Idia water (throw him from Taj hotel).

Bring Indian Coach and stick to that. Captain should be either Yuvraj or Kaif and give them enough time. restrict their AD work too.

indian cricket
by Ashok Gupta on Mar 28, 2007 11:32 AM  Permalink

Its not the end of the world for Indian cricket

but certainly for a few senior players who have played their last tournament. Those players must not now play ODI's at all but make way for future probables. The selectors and the team must be responsible for the current state of affairs and more important learn from the experience. Its not easy for anybody and clubbed with Mr Woolmers death I wonder if its really cricket anymore ?

Kiran is right in his assesment of situation.Greg was first to see the real problems with players when he warned Indian fans not to expect same batting form from Sachin due to injuries. He was also looking for younger players to make team for future. It is media & frenzied public that pushed him into a corner after poor show in S Africa leading to selection of all oldies in team & now the stupid media & public with poor memory is aking for his head. We need to respect people like More or Chappel who have brought laurels to their country & stop behaving like brats just because team has failed. When did we won anything in any other game last on world forum except for World Cup by cricketers?Leave cricketers to their fate for some time & let new generation under Dravid takeover-Sachin etc.

RE:More ji , wake up

Abhe Chup, You say only Karthik proved?????? karthik definitely a good player, But Sreesanth,Raina, Romesh Powar are equally good players. You are saying young players failed ??? What is the senior player doing? They are doing miserably bad. Young players may fail and fail, before finally getting it right. Young or old performance and ttitude should be the criteria for selection

Mr.More's comment on Retaining Dravid and Chappel
by vinay on Mar 28, 2007 11:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Mr.More,

It was Rahul Dravid who controlled the team selection and very strong on including Sehwag inspite of his bad foam. Because Sehwag included ahead of other infoam batsman like Kartik, the morale of the other players lost resulted in total failure.
Also Dravid's plan was to project in and around Sehwag which was the only reason for this failure and he should take full responsibility for the worst performance.

Regarding Chappel, yes i do agree that he has got very less time to proove his abilities and deserve more time.

Tks
Vinay

i feel very bad for kaarthic he is so good, I feel bad for romesh powar and dinesh mongia they are pretty good and unlike what chuppal said suresh raina is not international level player...dravid has taken money from sehwag harbhajjan and maybe tendulkar

no chuppal has got adequate chance because a coach cannot influence a game sitting outside the business area....he has got adequate chance to destroy the indian team which was the world cup runners up just in the last world cup ...he has destroyed pathan....he has destroyed the confidence of the indian team for the next 10 years, in 18 months he has done a lot he has destroyed indian cricket by his out of the feild activities

Would you please SHUT UP, Mr More!
by Kalarab Ray on Mar 28, 2007 11:28 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Readers,

Shouldn't all of us tell Mr Kiran More to shut up and stay away for expressing his opinions!

We now don't want to get into a judgement about whether Dravid / Chappell should be retained as Captain / Coach, or not.

Rahul Dravid and Greg Chappel were Kiran More's proteges and I guess its very natural for him to defend himself. A lot of this failure should be blamed to Kiran More also for making all the senior players headstrong. They took everything for granted and thought they are bigger than the game.

Reasons of debacle
by sanupd on Mar 28, 2007 11:28 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. Ganguly - Eaten up half of the overs and scored very slow, built pressure on the incoming batsman and all of them got out while speeding up the run rate.

2. Ganguly - Shown trumendous form in last 5-6 matches, which made other players dependent on him, so when he got out every one followed.

3. Ganguly - Not shared his experience with dravid on when matches were on critical stage.

4. Ganguly - very slow running between the wickets.

Is Rahul Dravid & his team (without Ganguly) is giving you something very special ????

You can't even judge that who's responsible for the loss.

What u think u r talking about?? We also see the game and understand who is playing what.

Ganguly has been the most consistent in the recent times. And Dravid? fielded him in the boundary line so that he can not even share his experience with him.

Just remember, as a captain, Dravid is miles behind Ganguly and will remain.

u r talking abt Ganguly not sharing experience with Dravid.R u living in the world of fool dat a person whose entry in the team u blocked fr last 1 1/2 year wll come n suggest u.Was it not his duty to ask Ganguly fr help.instead ganguly was wondering in the fine leg area.So b4 blaming u shd also go thru actual facts.
