Haha ha ha aha ha

I can't stop laughing? Why is Rediff obsessed with wicketkeepers that too of the Baroda variety of Mongia and More both Morons.

Now we have to listen from a Match fixer and a bribe taker More( Remember the Abhijit Kale episode) ??? Can't we see the same match you see Mr Mongia? Please stay away from Cricket and keep your mouth shut. Be thankful that you are not in Jail for Match fixing. I still remember the match Mr Mongia and Prabhakar fixed versus West Indies and made a fool of the Public .Mongia is a disgrace to Indian cricket and no one should listen to him.

Exactly. Also coming to team spirit, Mongia was the leader fo them all. There were two matches where Azhar was batting 60 and in a mix up, Mongia who was just new to the crease refused to sacrifice his wicket and got the well set batsman run out !!! And in post match interveiws he goes on air saying it is the other batsman's fault and why should he give up his wicket??? He has also given interviews in which he says anyway we were going to lose so instead of going for big shots and losing his wicket he would get batting practice !!! Imagine this guys becoming coach and coaching youngsters abouy "never say die" attitude etc. By the time the next world cup arrioves India would be losing to school boys team !!! Then the same guy would say coach cannot win matches for you and all that crap. Great way ahead. Kudos to rediff for interviewing such people. I see a very bringht future for Indian cricket if this continues.

What a Cunning Manipulator
by Raman on Mar 28, 2007 10:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Last year in a Interview Mongia said that Kumble was well past his prime and his balls are coming so slow compared to the time he was wicket keeping.
I remember that Interview was about current WKeepers and he compared himself with them and praised himself that he kept when Kumble was lot faster.
Indian Cricketers,Board,Selectors all are playing the same game, running in circles, confusing people and passing the buck.

Who is to be blamed, looks like we ourselves for following these losers who havent won anything worthwhile since 1985(ODIs)

Nayan for coach, kumble for captain
by rax raja on Mar 28, 2007 10:42 PM  Permalink

Let Nayan be coach, and Kumble be the never-retiring captain. Maybe then even Bermuda will be able to belt India. That will be some achievement!

Mongia
by Jay on Mar 28, 2007 10:32 PM  Permalink

Ok, Mongia as coach has been flogged already in this forum. Still I couldn't resist. Just the way he batted in his days, he just comes out as a meek, pathetic cricketer and I wonder how he can lead a whole team. You have to remember the match in which he and Prabhakar just batted in a ODI as if it was a test match in the process killing what could have been an interesting match, making a fool of everyone who watched that match. Please Nayan, go back to your village and grow some wheat. Atleast that way, you can contribute to the country.

Pls make me coach...
by Hemang on Mar 28, 2007 10:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To BCCI,

With all my mind & senses working right, I appeal you to make me the coach for Indian team. I know there are lot of candidates dreaming about this position, but looking on my past record I think, I am the best candidate for the job.

I have played lot of gully cricket for my street team & ofcource for my departmental team of my company. I have played lot of innings which have made my team winning a lot of games.

Regards

Hemang

Come on guys..... there is a superb job in the market right now. Try your luck. Rediff is the best platform for that. Don;t remember your past performances or failure & also don;t remember how pathetic you were when you were sucked out of the team, hitting a couple of slap on your face. Now its time to grab a new job & make some money....

Nayan as coach!!!!
by Sudeep Menon on Mar 28, 2007 10:07 PM  Permalink

The last thing indian cricket needs is to have Nayan as our coach, moreover he wasnt a team player when he was playing. He played a lot of selfish innings which cost us so dear and he at the helm of indian cricket i never can imagine.

well..nayan..it is easy to talk away from the pitch..
by Arjun Shetty on Mar 28, 2007 10:07 PM  Permalink

As we all know, as a player, Mongia never won a match single handedly for India, so then it is imperative that he should shut his mouth and not make useless comments..If it were guys like kapil, Vishvanath or others, it is OK..Nayan Mongia does not have the right to comment. Preach what you practice and incorporate
