whoever u are vishy u are just defending dravid becoz he is kanaadiga .. grow up vishy ... i need to know ur veiws if soemone else was captain i am sure u must having been gunning for his head by now why rediff wastes its space for such persons???

yeh saala kuchh kanandiga bahut regional hota hai. Maharastrian se bhi jada. Andhra aur bangali lok bahut achha hai. Saurav ko dekho. Haar kisiko aapnaya. Yeh saab reginal aadmi rediff ko bahut gandha karta hai.

And let down captain What coach can do if players did not able to perform??If team wins there won't be change in captaincy? Now see these players name is coming forward to make them as captian Winning or defeat in matches depends on performance of XI players irrespective of captain, coach, pitch, stretagy and conditions. Bangladesh and SL victory against India is best example. Ganguly is cunning politican there is more groupism and politcs in team after his return. Ganguly played a big role in defeat of of team ind against bangadesh and sabotage Indian campaign in World cup. ganguly is main culprit for defeat against bangladesh. He is politician he his supporters played negative cricket deliberately to defeat the team and humiliated dravid and chappell. He played for self and scored consistanly but not a single innings was not held for team victory. How can his negative approcha helped team?? Hew as playing silly shot getting out when team required his service. His innings was shaky. ganguly wasted more balls than the runs he scored. The strikerate and average of bangadesh and other country opening players are better when compared to ganguly averagel His poor fielding and poor running wkt and unwilling to take singles cost more runs to team Yuvraj Scored 47 runs in 10 overs Rest of team scored 50 in 19 overs Against burmada he scored 89 in 114 balls wasted 25 balls that is around 4.6 runs per over... compare it to the indian teams average of 8.26 Ganguly was struggling while batting against burmuda, and got 3 lifes Harbajan singh went wktless in 2 matches dhoni failed with bat Zahirkahn was wktless in firest match and in he took 2 wkts against SL but he gave more extra runs b'cuz of erratic bowling. VC captain sachin failed completely with bat Tendulkar, Ganguly and Yuvraj? Dravid was criticsed by chief selector and board members and ex cricketers but he was highest rungetter, and scored 100 and won mom. I If these players are not ready to play for team and why u captain and coach coach? IF CAPTAN AND COACH HAS TO GO THEN ALL THESE PLAYERS ARE ALSO EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DEFEAT AND SHOULD BE KICKED OUT..

I do not have to say much about ganguly, he scored 60 odd in 21 overs.......yes the avg turns out to be 60 plus....WOW...India lost to Bangla....
Theonly thing current Captain did not do was to go into themiddle and kick Ganguly out of the ground for such selfish display
Dravid is doing equally good job in last 16 months when compared to ganguly %u2018s 5 yr success. GABGULY DITCHED DRAVID BY PLAYING NEGATIVE CRICKET. if any win there won't be a change in cataincy. NOT B'CUZ OF GANGULY CAPTAINCY OR LEADERSHIP, srinath bowled well and dravid ketp wkts to accomodate one more batsman But this time it is ganguly betryaed team and ditched the captain by deliberatly playing negative cricket. He just want to humiliate dravid .also if team win then therewon't case of changing captiancy. ganguly is root cuase of defeat,. sujatah parkash did not mention of non cooperation of players to captain and failue o sachin dhoni herbajan and mainly ganguly .who played selfish cricket for safe Ganguly is playing petty potics and ditched dravid.

Suman, Why are u so angry with Ganguly when he was the only player to have scored 2 consecutive 50's that too one in the most difficult circumstances against bangladesh when every one flopped except for himself and Yuvraj. Why should Ganguly ditch Dravid? If he had to do that he would have scored like what Tendulkar did, whilst he scored two 50's in the most difficult circumstances. You have to agree on certain foolish things which Dravid did: 1) He made a bad decision to bat first against Bangladesh when there was so much assistance for the bowlers. He should have been really foolsih to make this decision. 2) He made a bad decsion to bowl first against Sri Lanka on a do or die match. It puts more pressure on the Indian team when they chase in a do or die match. 3) He gave too many chances to his fellow Karnataka mate Robin Uthappa who always plays in a hurry as if he has to rush to the loo. 4) He is not aggressive as Ganguly is. 5) He doesn't have the courage to make some bold changes. 6) He gave too many chances also to this inconsistent bowler Ajit Agarkar. 7) He never gave any chance to Dinesh Kartick or Pathan.
Ganguly would have given a chance to both of these youngsters and motivated them. Pathan was in his peak during ganguly's captaincy whilst Dravid has not done any thing to improve him or get the best out of him.
Last but not the least Dravid should relinquish his captaincy to Saurav who is the only best aggressive leader available right now.

Ganguly had full support of bcci and dalmiay prsd with ganguly for all 5 yrs of his captaincy. Nobody ex cricketer or board officials dare not speak against ganguly's blunders He continued to enjoy captaincy even his late 3 yers he was out form and non performing but he was forutnate that dravid sachin, kumble laxman sewag were all in form and contributed lot his success as captain more than ganguly leadership qualities Team won 23 out of 76 odis when sachin was captain Team won 76 odis out of 147 matches when ganguly was captain Team won 33 odis out of 65 ( including this WC matches) when dravid was captian Both sachin and ganguly had more time as captain Out of 76 matches 38 matches won in india and 31 odis wins are against weaker team like kenya, nambia and Zimb Dravid did not loose any odi series at home ( even SA it was drawn 2-2) and 2 matchs against ZImb Except Australia no other team is winning series consistanly there is always ups and downs Even when ganguly was captain there were wins and many humiliated defeat. Team did not win all series under his captaincy. Team India did not win in SA when ganguly was also captain. Mr.Rajesh Kumar, You forgot one thing, do remember-Ganguly is not physically fit for cricket, there is no even 1 year cricket left in him, so how can he become a good captain.
Not only batsmen Mr.Viswanath Lot of thigs, Firstly Now-a-days Defination of the One Day Cricket was changed. A team must Bat, Bowl, and also Field well to win. Another major point is poor running between the wickets. Gaguly is no doubt is a good batsmen and he also proved again and again but he only depends upon hitting fours and sixes not concentrating on taking singles and rotating the strike.Look at Lankans when they new Boundries are hard to come they try to take singles and try to score run a ball. Tendulkar has always got problems with in coming deliveries he was bowled in that manner atleast for 25 times. Utthappa seems to be in hurry to score runs. Dhoni got Very good first ball. Yuvraj Bad luck. Sehwag out to a good ball, Agarkar is an allrounder in paper but he never proves that better for him to quit and make way for others. But look at our fielding, Munaf Patel bowling well but he could not dive and field he is also not a fast mover . Dravid could not dive and save runs may be age is the factor. Srilankans placing their shots towards ganguly and knowing that he was little slow comfortbly taking 02 runs without a risk. Except Yuvraj & Agarkar all others are very poor fielders. BCCI should first appoint a Fielding Coach & Bowling Coach.Physical Fitness and Fielding is a major cause of concern. BCCI should also appoint a bowling coach so that our bowlers could learn to bowl slow balls and yorkers or different variations in the time of slog overs. our bowling at the slog overs is also a serious cause of concern. BCCI should make it mandatory that all Ranji Trophy teams in the Country should have a Bowling and Fielding coach and One physical trainer. Ex. Ranji players should be engaged in each State. BCCI should also concentrate on finding good hitters who can hit the ball in first 20 overs as well as in Slog Overs.( 20-20 format should be encouraged to find good hitters) BCCI should bring out a Plan to have Cricket Academies in All State Capitals to Groom young talent by selecting atleast 20 players from each state. Indian team should have a Good Coach (Foreign/Indian) Good Fielding Coach ( Why dont we request Jhonty Rhodes to coach our team) And a bowling Coach ( Foreign/Indian) Young players should be promoted and should be given more chances.

The need of the hour is to professionalize the BCCI. The Pawars, Dalmias, Shahs are unfit to govern cricket. Crass commercial interest has spoiled players as well as the so-called officials.As for the team, Let Dravid continue as captain, but no place for Harbajan, Agarkar, Sachin. Build a core of 25 to 30 players who can be around for next 4 to 5 years.
First of all playing under huge pressure given by us means lots of expectations... Really its hard to play under these conditions... Any way..its all gone now...but i would say that its Dravid's mistake in 1 st match against Bangladesh not to take Anil Kumble who had bounce and some spin in his bowling plus he has not read the pitch before the game that initially there will be some movment in the ball..so 2 mistakes in 1st match...
Bermuda its all ok...
Against Sri lanka same no Kumble...also with harbhajan he should have try to build up the patnership as harbhajan played well after..he has given up when all our great batsman given up their hops. So these decisions are very crutial to play the game..

In the first Instance your blaming Dravid for his Captaincy and in the second Match for his batting,what if sourav and Yuvraj would have continued to play sensibly against Bangladesh...rather than getting OUT on those rash shots,they got their eye in,They would have applied themselves as both of them knew that there was not much batting left after them .....i feel that those were the 2 crucial wickets which dampened india's confidence in the WC....if both of them wud have carried on and would played sensibly.....it would have been a diff story......we have gr8 players but we dont have good team ......
