Lets accept the reality...
by satya mishra on Mar 28, 2007 03:10 PM  Permalink

Neither Indian bats men nor Bowlers are good outside asea.Have we ever thought of the records of our worldclass batsmen or bowler outside the asean countries?Just play one domestic series have some good run on the board or take some wicket which will hide ur inefficiencies in the game abroad and be a hero at home. Its our fault that we never tried to understand the potential of our players and thought them as national heroes.

by sunil pradhan on Mar 28, 2007 02:54 PM  Permalink

why dont we accept the truth that our batsman are never good in foreign pitch except few names. this is the reality and we should not play cricekt. sold out the BCCI and assets and invest those money in education and other sports.

its not just a game

guys just stand up to the facts
what business does the wife of a chief selector has when she launches a jewellry collection for the cricket team before the world cup.Just after the appointment of the chief selector his wife comes out of the blue to do this!!!.What should the players do in this case? should they oblige/appease her by buying her stuff or face the music if they dont..
In a team game a player owns 45 cars( not marutis or santros)and when he doesnt have the space to park them ,he buys the whole society and that too in a city like Mumbai. This is just filth.what impression is he going to make on the other team mates??can be anybody's guess..a player like Dhoni, who has lived his life till now not so fortunate environment will obviously be tempted to earn money from anywhere...come what may...
And then this senior player queues up to vote in a local Mumbai election to appease whom....you guessed it right..

This is not just a game atleast in India,it has started to stink.....it has become a dirty game..

Wow Sunil !! Thanks a lot for putting the bitter truths upfront ! Reading you and few others in this forum, my depression which came after India lost to BD, has considerably reduced and I am beginning to feel better. May be I can talk more sense from tomorrow.

Thanks again for your message. Hope everyone in this forum reads it.

typical reaction of vishwanath

no suprises in vishwanath's reaction..."dravid was helpless as captain while chappell should be replaced by indian/foreign coach"...what a provincial mindset...typical bangalore biased person supporting another player from bangalore blindly

True Abhi. The players need to do introspection and conclude how to lead their rest of live, and not about cricket. They deserve to be kicked out of the team. We need some one in the team who really wants to play, not some one who wants to earn money. Let the whole team be sacked and bring the fresh blood, let the focus be to build next world cup. I just pray for our BCCI to get pauper and no more money flow in to their coffins. Either dissolve the cricketing fraternity and be convinced by playing cricket yourselves local teams or by watching them. We can definitely derive more thrill than these match fixing scandals

as said by few persons here, dravid and chappel has to take the full responsibility....let's not convince ourselves that our players had more pressure while playing WC...if we think so, it is shame on us to carry that pressure when u play bangladesh and bermuda....almost all teams have pressure...Look at Australia, they lost the tri-series to England, got white-washed by New Zealanders...just just before WC...but look how they played...and now that they have score 300 in 6 continous matches..Look at their captain man....wahhhhh... he is a captain. He has the quality to be...dravid is good for nothing and a person without aggression / motivation... he thinks he is a great player if he spends time at the crease and scores 50 with SR as 57.5 May hold good in Test matches .. we need a aggressive captain..who leads from front... Having said that, he is not a right candidate for captain who lacks aggression / decision making capabilities... Why the hell he included R Uthappa in the playing eleven for a crunch match again SL when he has failed in two matches.. stupid dravid... Idiot.. India should have stuck to Ganguly - 10dulkar with dravid himself coming at No. 3....not sure whether it would have got clicked....Also there is no wrong in trying with young captain my take an year for him to stabilize things but worth trying it....Look how Smith did it for SA.... ..aaah lot more there to be discussed...

batting collapse
by vajika on Mar 28, 2007 02:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

yes gangoooooooooly wanted dravid, chappel and india to perform badly and be out of WC. uthappa was overwhelmed by the money he is getting. sehwag played selfishly and wanted to become highesrt score. 10 dulcar was thinking if 2011 WC. yuv was under enormous pressure. other agarcar, bhajji was just having fun. -
no pure reason to play for india and win WC 2007

Hey, Vajika, you seem to make a funny statement by trying to expose your skill of blurting out slurs appearing to be humorous but without good taste. Learn to make a statement which is worth being reported on a website. Trying to use the names of people to compose slur language is distasteful. I hope you need to have good and ethical education . Thanks, Ron

Reality Check
by Rangaswamy Jagannathan on Mar 28, 2007 01:59 PM  Permalink

India is not a force to be reckoned when they play away from home. Their overseas ODI record is quite awful especially against the top teams. Why do Indian fans expect miracles given these facts? What India has to first solve is developing a winning record outside the subcontinent. Will take years, maybe a decade.
