Give one more chance to chappel for the bangla series with all youngsters and without all these so called senior most players. If he fails, then every body has the right to criticize him. If a player of the stature of ganguly cannot rotate strike..and sachin cannot score a single run..then John buchanan tom moody bob simpson combinedly cannot make this bunch of buddhas to win a match.
Here's the living proof of continued mediocrity in India and this time Indian cricket. Pawar has the power to silence sanity and good voices. What a politician can do is what we all have been seeing over the past 60 years. A great shame that India has no men of stature, personality, selfless dedication to run and take the country to greater glory. How dare does pawar say that Indian team is under tremendous pressure and if he and the Indian team didn't know it when they came to the public domain in India, it beilies my average understadning. None in the board and the people who are connected to running Indian cricket seem to know the sports science and psychology to prepare 15 men from a roughly a 300 million young Indian men who have the potential to play the game and have the guts to play an event like world cup to take on the best team. How will they get time when they are busy chasing their personal glory. There is no sense of shame left in any one administering the game. Get politics out of the game and take objective decisions even it's starting from scratch. The current approach, no different from that effigy buring and arsoning thugs in India. Chairman of selection committee can't speak a sentence in english but wants to head the decision affecting the emotions of a billion people. Please wake up and throw this ignominy from Indian sport and more so Indain cricket. Let's fight for the infusion of a sense of medernity and purpose in how we administer sports in the country, so that the world will stand up and applaud India.

well said except the the yardstick u have put for the post of selection committee chairman as only 4-5 % of the Indians are English speaking and not billions.
Mr. Pawar's statements are totally on expected lines what more we wud have expected from such a rotten body of cricket, which had only selected the bunch of minnows to perform at the world stage. The message hidden behind this is subtle but clear and smacks of any serious intentions to really improve the lot of cricket in India. This downplay of defeat is really ridiculous by any stretch of imagination. Donot expect any big transformation in the order in cricket with thses kind of bunch of idiots ruling the roost and playing on the sensibilities ofmillions of fans who support the game and without whom cricketwud not have attained the status it gained.
Guys wake up.. Cricket is not every thing in the world.. let the crickters do what they want if they earn money they they will do as they r popular.. who made them popular ? Do we know who has won a gold medal in other sport ? Are they so popular like Cricketers ?
Do we show the same anger for the politicians who are not performing well since our freedom? if not, to kya hum sab ki phat rahi hai politicians se ??
The same media makes cricketers a star and on bad day they show them bad.. Each cricketer is individual who have right to enjoy also.. Why Media is not showing any hocky player, weight lifters who won gold medal.. do they show such sportperson so often ? Media is one of the cheapest and vulgar in India. Media should look at their faces first..
Have they shown any Politicians in enjoying moments after any bad incidents like floods/accident/terrorist attacks etc.

this is the first sane message here!! Good man! people like you will, hopefully drive some sense into the insane hysterical crowds who are upset for such a stupid reason!! Its a blessing in disguise that this team lost - things will only improve now!
Winning and losing is a part of the game ? Correct. But the problem is that a descent performance is expected. Losing a game by 20 runs while chasing a target of 320 is a different matter, but getting all out against Bangladesh below 200 is a joke !!

If india loose courageously then it is ok. But, playing for the sake of his place in team, scared of getting hit, not diving bcoz of getting hurt and not able to play next match...all these acts are unbearable. Plz don't say that u represent india. India is not as coward as you ppl have performed. There are lot more..in rural india..who can play with dedication and big hearts

So, do u know how to hold a cricket bat. The language he used might be wrong..but he has every right to question the bunch of loosers/jokers hiding in caribbean.
There are countries with far more passion. In any Latin American country they are fare more passionate about football. There are instances where father and son have come to blows simply because they support different teams. I am not against rationale behaviour as you suggested but there is nothing to defend the performance of the current team. Maybe we do not need to abuse but the team does not deserve any credits rather they need a shock treatment. Especially Tendulkar,Sehwag,Harbhajan,Dhoni,Zaheer,Ganguly Dravid, and Yuvraj - in that exact order.
