I would definitely agree with Mr Chappell and I would blame the selectors and the BCCI for what has happened. The problem with Indian cricket is that there is too much politics in it and there are too many voices which disagree. One thing that we need to understand is that Mr Chappell is straight spoken and he gets to the point instead of beating around the bush which we are an expert in. We were never serious about competing in the world cup. We were experimenting all along with senior players who were out of form. We should have started long back and introduced good talented players. No other team has so many changes as we do . Maybe a change or two but everytime we change the whole team composition. The alarm bells are ringing if 7 out of 11 players are out of form at the same time. No other team has such dubious record. There are probably one or two players who are out of form , take Australia for example. But when your whole team fails , there is problem elsewhere. Greg can do only so much. You can take a horse to the water but cannot make it drink. If the batsmen fail, how can you blame the coach. There is a collective responsibility and we cannot blame the coach since we cannot judge him from here , but the lack of fresh talent definitely shows. Ok so we have 3 players with 10000 runs , does that mean anything at all ? We are looking at personal records and not the team efforts. The selectors were afraid to face the media if young talents failed , The so called talented 10000 club failed , its still a shame and the media is blasting them almost 12 hrs a day on tv let alone print media. Greg chappell is doing a good job and unless politics is kept out of the game, it wont matter if its a foreign coach or an indian coach. Thats the final word

there is too much politics into cricket. Greg is bound by his contract and has to go on with the players that are given to him. He cannot make the final decision but can only suggest. He has pointed out that players like Suresh Raina , Karthik are good prospects but unfortunately he cannot force them into the team . He has to go with whats given to him . Reminds me of Too many cooks spoil the broths, too many people who influence selection of players , as simple as that
Greg had once again proved what he is really and only capable of. Another stone thrown on Indians, u can expect greg even stating that the team led by kapil during 1983 was purely of corruption and that only had fetched cup for india, GREG shld learn to accept mistakes and this will fetch some respect on him. Putting blaming on others is real like a school kid job

It's Dravid, who swayed by evil motives of Greg Chappel, and in his greed to get captaincy by hook or by crook, has re-installed groupism and dirty politics in the Indian Cricket team. Sourav had tried hard and finally succeded in throwing this political and regional factors out of Indian Cricket. Dravid brought it back.
After all the young players saw what miserable treatment Sourav(one of the greatest one-day players and the most successful Indian Captain) got from Dravid and Chappel, no one was ready to believe them and their intentions. People say that Darvid was unable to motivate players. How will Dravid ever be able to motivate players if the players under him knows that he himself is a shrude politician. Everyone was afraid and none was willing to give their 100% for his sake.
Sack Dravid...get a new captain for India whom the players can rely on. India will again start winning.

What is the achievement of Chappel for Indian Cricket??? Please narrate atleast one. General mentality of our sub-continent peolple is that white people are clever than us . It is not so my dear friend.If option given to me , I will pick Imran Khan & Ravi Sastri as Coach of Pakistan & India respectively . They will much better job then Boolmer & Chappel.Plesae correct me if I am wrong.
Enough is enough with cricket. I'm giving a proposal that might make everybody happy.
You see, there are only 7 or 8 countries play cricket, where as most of the countries play football. A person having a minimum idea about world football, need not be explained any more.
So, first bring some competition in cricket to make the game interesting. Today how many states are in India? Make a national team from each and every state, like India-Mumbai. If you want you can divide further, like India-Mumbai-Mahim or India-Mumbai-Bandra, or India-Karnataka-Bangalore-Mathikera and so on.
Then register to ICC.
Then come to field and make your dream team of your choice and play cricket and enjoy cricket 365 days of year and be happy.
Hi this is what Chappell thinks. Those who perform r proud and they think themselves as stars and who are against him are seniors. Sourav was included in the team only when the young players were not performing. If the young players were performing he would not have got a chance again in his life time & more over he is performing consistently. Regarding Yuvraj, he is excellent player down the order, performed in most crunch situations & an excellent fielder. He may be aggressive. I don%u2019t think aggressiveness is a problem.. More over chappell is having no guts in raising voice against Sehwag & Sachin. Shewag said I was not at all worried about the slump in his form. What does that mean. By scoring a centrury against school kids(Bermuda) shows your excellent form? Actually This chappell is very igoistic he wants all the players under him. If he is not giving respect to the players how will he get respect in return. If this is the relationship between players & coach think what is atmosphere of the dressing room. In the match against BNG we would have successfully deffended the target of 191. Only the mind set of the players was needed. That could only be done by coach and captain which they failed. This relationship between coach, captain & players is the only reason for early exit of Indian team from WC & no others r to be blamed.
