Reason of defeats
by Ghochu Singh on Mar 28, 2007 01:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Only two things made India team ruined.

1)Politics started by Kiran More in BCCI.Chappel
is his great contribution to do the massacre.

2)Rahul Dravid is not enough strong to motivate the team.

Otherwise this very team has performed superb
for so many times in the past, then how it is possible that almost everyone will forget to
play now.

I think rest all the reasons are not at all imp.

Pls find out the right reasons forgetting the
caste/zone/state etc(as it is politicians job).
So that we can build a good future of Indian
cricket.
And it will be better if we ban cricket in India.

There is no pre-game plan. Even there is one, our team always fail to execute. it's not a big secret.

Bindra
by Hot Air on Mar 28, 2007 01:36 PM  Permalink

There is a proverb in Tamil, which loosely translates into English as "An incompetent dancer always blames the Stage for her bad performance".

Idiot Bindra's contention that India lost because of the format reminds me of the above proverb. This moron will not agree that India had a bad team, an unimaginative captain and (probably) an average coach. BCCI worsened the situation by making the team play too many matches.
The first step in solving a problem is to acknowledge that there is a problem. Unfortunately, we don't see it here.

YUVRAJ FAILED BECAUSE HE HAS GONE TO WEST INDIES TO TERACH THEM IN THE FIELD OF COOKING BY HEROHONDA MOTORS CYCLE:

SACHIN FAILED BECAUSE HE HAS TAKEN THE HEALTH DRINK "BOOST" THE SECRET OF HIS FAILURE ENERGY

DHONI MISSED THE TIMMING BECAUSE HE HAS WEAR ON HIS WRIST WATCH FROM "SONATA" AND WAS HURRY FOR SADDI SEASONS.

SHEWAG WAS ON HURRY BECOUSE HE HAD NOT GET HIE TOOTH WASHED WITH "LAL DANT MANJAN"

PATHAN BELIEF TO MUCH IN EXTRA PREMIUM THAT HE LOST HIS EXTRA POWER AND WAS OUT.

WE EXPECTED OUR TEAM AS NUCLEAR WEPON BUT IT WAS A DIWALI PATAKA WITH EFFORT LESS AND SOUND LESS LIKE "PUSSSSHHHH!!!!!"

THE TEAM INDIA SHOULD TAKE A DIP IN CHOTI GANGA TO ERASE ALL IT SINS

why you all blame these cricketers for their endorsements? if you don't like the player don't buy those products endorsed by him. Cricket and players' personal lives are isolated.

Well said Manoj, these are the ones who have gone endorsed themselves leaving our country in shame. Poor Dravid was sucked into all these even after producing his finest part of life in cricket beliving that these players will atleast produce 40% of their real talent in the most precious world cup which comes once in 4 years.

Shame!
by SundarRaman Srinivasan on Mar 28, 2007 01:23 PM  Permalink

It's a Shame that they are blaming the format for the exit.

When two of the most inconsistent team made the exit, it surely got to be the correct format.

May be, those guy who are blaming the format can prescribe the ICC to create a Group-I exclusively for India in the next world cup!

This way they can avoid 1st round exit...but not sure what they would be complaining about the Super-8 format though... :)

by BlurBlur on Mar 28, 2007 01:23 PM  Permalink

As if losing wasnt bad enough, we now have some half-wit blaming the format for India's loss. Somebody must help him put the facts right...India lost 2 out of 3 games in a week's time and the only game they won was against Bermuda.

Whats more shocking is such comments come from ex-BCCI President. That just shows the kind of incompetent idiots who ran the show for Indian cricket and our cricket team is just an extension of its administration.

SHAME SHAME SHAME
by Manoj Sharma on Mar 28, 2007 12:49 PM  Permalink

THE WAY DID INDIA PLAYED IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE NEWCOMMER IN THE WORL OF CRICKECT. THE PEPOLE OF INDIA SHOULD TAKE A QUICK INITIATIVE ACTION AGAINST THE POLITICS BEHIND THE GAME. THE BCCI SHOULD HAVE TO KEEP APART THEIR PERSONAL BIAS AND THEY SHOULD BE PROFESSIONAL BEFORE THE GAME A CODE OF CONDUCT SHOULD DEVELOPED IN EACH AND EVERY PERSONS, THERE SHOULD BE A STRICT ACTION AGAINST THE PLAYERS BEFORE ALLOWING THEM TO PLAY IN A PARTICULAR GAME, THEY SHOULG GIVE CHANCE TO THOSE PLAYERS WHO IS GOING TO PERFORM NOT TO THOSE PLAYER WHOSE PERFORMANCE IS BEETER IN THE PAST DAYS THE BCCI SHOULD NOT ALLOW ANY PLAYER TO EARN MONEY IN THE FIELD OF ADVERTISING AND OTHERS. THE PLAYER SHOULD TOUGHT TO PLAY AS TEAM NOT INDIVIDUALLY IF NOT THEN PLEASE KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM SPORTS YOU SHOULD FEEL SHAME OF YOURSELF THAT INDIA IS A HUGE COUNTY AND THERE ARE MORE THAN 100 CORES PEOPLE. BUT LACK OF PLAYER WHO CAN WIN FOR THE COUNTRY

Eh! Bad Format....
by Subhajit Kundu on Mar 28, 2007 12:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

:-) There is no such format known to me where a team will loose and yet progress higher in the tournament. Irrespective of format, One has to win matches. If the team looses against Bangladesh, whose test status is often debated upon, then it is wrong to blame the format. Ya, Ofcourse untill one decides to award points to the loosing team. Ha ha haha...

Secondly, the matter of new/old/Foreign/Indian coach... My question is why a coach? Are you telling me that these players are still learning, when many of them are about to retire. I can understand coaches for under-16 team, under-18/19 teams... They still have things to learn. But sorry, I cann't assume the fact that Sachin, Sourav, Rahul are still learning. And for that matter any one in the Indian National Squad should be expected to know well about there field specialization(Batting/Bowling/Keeping). And if any of them is having a particular problem with say footwork, action, special weakness(Playing against spin/pace, incorrect action from some special delivery) then he can seek help of peers/seniors or can even be sent to a relevant academy/specialist in the country or outside for a month or two. That should charge the team lot less and we can have a good psychiatrist, manager with the money. What say? We know that in soccer teams there are managers in the team that take care of the adminstrative works, and often brings in a new thought process very distinct from players. Just like, say, Sachin being not a regular bowler brings in a fresh variety and element of surprise in his deleveries. Anyways, just my opinion... :-)

The same format is applied in Soccer World Cup aslo. It is good that there are only 16 teams, if more than 16, India would have to do hardships for qualifying for the mega event, just like our Hockey Team.

let us resolve today to not to buy/use any services/product endorsed by the playing 11
by Bob Seth on Mar 28, 2007 12:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Indian team consists of 3 players who is the favorite of the selectors, 3 of the BCCI president, 3 of the captain, 3 of the coach. there is no place for performance , form etc. In fact rahul dravid has to be blamed for Indians humiliating defeat, he forced the inclusion of sehwag who was totally out of form ( as stated by vengsarkar ) and we got defeated by bangladesh. we Indians have been taken for a ride by our politicians , the police, the judiciary now we have this cricketers. all Indians should collectively stop using any product endorsed by any playing 11 cricketer. lets hit them back where it hurts.

a radical change has to be made in the selection process where there is no favoritism. Chappeel commented that the seniors did not allow the younger lot to play, sreesanth was not even allowed to play for one single match. maybe it was dravid sehwag and sachin . Secondly we should keep politicians like sharad pawar out of the game else it will be another story of favoritism ,cheap dirty politics and money making. why don%u2019t we have a system where in the performance guarantees a slot in the Indian playing 11 and not being close to the selectors, kiran more was the center of controversy some years back where in he was charged for demanding favors / money in turn for a place in the Indian 11. we can have a simple system in place where in we have 5 team s India west, north, south ,east and central play league matches and the top performing 10 batsmen and 10 bowlers are taken into the final list. The top perfomance is based purely on measurable metrics. The playing 11 should consist of the best 6 batsmen and the best 5 bowlers and after every match the performance is reviewed by measurable metrics and the player who cannot deliver is put on the bench and the next player is offered an opportunity. I mean in short a team which is selected only by performance and not because of chamachagiri to the BCCI president, coaches and selectors .

let us resolve today to not to buy/use any services/product endorsed by the playing 11.

Robin Singh is the BEST Coach for the Indian Team...he will be a good mentor for Guys like ganguly...Who play only for there personal gains...The main man responsible for the loss against bangladesh...Where taking a mammoth nearly 150 balls for a mere 50 runs...I saw Robin Singh on TV...on a cricket reality show... and heard him say that a player should play according to the merit of the ball and not for individual gains....Which is very true...What say Guys!!!
