The author has done a good job. Now,there will be a change of captain,coach and fanatics will burn effigies,damage property to vent out their fury.The team should sit together and watch the rest of the matches to see how to win a World cup.2011 is a long way still ,but the preparations could begin this way.
let's pray for them who really play for their nations pride. support them who really so called minnows in super 8. they have good fighting spirit. if they won 1 or 2 match only with this Big teams. we must appriciate them.
First wickets between any two national teams were dug in india 300yrs back. Indians taught worls to play hockey. India is (financially)boosting ICCs efforts to popularise the game called cricket across the globe. The day is not far when counties like america and china will have their teams sent to compete and indians will not even qualify to participate if things do not change quickly
I think world cup should have a constant format, irrespective of whichever country hosts the cup. Last world cup in SA, had chance to play 2 rounds in the first league...ICC should perhaps rethink on this.

Yep.. personally I liked the previous WC's format. This one is not very good and one 'banana slip' game can put real pressure on the top teams.
It was not the best 11 who played in world cup from the 15 members squad. Sreesanth could have played for Agarkar, Sehwag should have opened, and Dravid should have played at spot 3. Pathan should have played in for Robin Uthappa. That would have increased the bowling strength. I think there is no major changes needed at this stage. Dravid can lead the team. He is quite consitent with bat and he would guide new youngsters. Anyway Senior players are not going to be there for worldcup 2011

There is nothing wrong with the talents of Dravid or even Sachin (even though his reflexes are diminishing). The problem is with the attitudes of the so-called seniors. They seem to have taken for granted that they need not perform (in the cricket field that is) and that they can concentrately mostly on their private, commercial interests. Though I am anguished, I think I am sane enough when I say that Bangladesh is NOT a better team on talent. We lost to them because our team was literally not in the field. It appeared they all had other things on mind and they were unwilling to try their best. It is for this reason I suggest that Dravid should be mercilessly dropped, even if for a short while and should be taken back only if he proves himself again by playing domestic cricket. Same thing goes for all other seniors, demo-god Sachin included

Great. We can stick with this team for a while even if they don't win. I'm not expecting miracles but fight. For all of you who are talking about fight, there was no player who showed character than Dravid in the match against SL. Thanks for your comments though

hey rahul dravid can be our captian, he lacks fighting spirit, he is just captain cool, we dont want cool people, we want guys who can inspire all cricket team, guys with fighting spirit like leander pias( he plays extraordinary tennis when he plays for India)
the BCCI shud take players from the country who are in a good form. there r some members in the indian team who hav nearly played 300 ODIs. whats the use now. its time for Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble to call it a day. let them give a chance to the future generation. make Yuvi as Caption. the BCCI shud act quick nw.

yuvi should play as captain against BCCI series , or give a chance to any other one who can lead and motivate the team. bcoz teh characteristic of a captain is not to bat or bowl gud but to lead the team and rahul is failed here.
