All the media and fello collegues are discussing about Indias so called defeat from WC. Frankly speaking it was really expected. The team lacks proper planning and vision which resulted in this big defeat. Team planned on individual past records and not on their current foam. And full credit goes to Dravid who blindly supported Virender Sehwag inspite of his bad foam resulted in low morale of the other players and big defeat from the game. Dravids plan was on and around Sehwag and he wanted him to return to foam rather than winning the game. If you are a real follower of Good cricket, it was very clear from the beginning that what India lacks was a good aggressive operner who can provide good start and the fellow players can carry on from there. Both Ganguly (who was selfish and played for his position this time) and Sehwag failed to provide the impact.It was rather expected Sachin to open the innings and more advisable which never happened. Secondly harbajan was a flop in all recent matches and not able to take wickets aginst minnows like Bangladesh also. It was a wrong decision to replace him with Kumble the inform bowler. Finally Irfan Pattan deserved position ahead of Uttappa against the match with Srilanka.
This may help atlease to jumb in to the Super XI. But then also we wont be qualify for the semi as no players are aggressive and united.
In India the main problem is that once you are in National Team,. you wl start getting Ad and making money otherthan playing cricket. And there is no performance based salary system compare to other nations.
We should remove all the players like Sehwag, Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid & Dhone with immediate effect and replace with young bloods. Simultaneously introduce performance base pay system so that players more concentrate on game rather than acting on ad.
Also there should be restriction on players to participate in ads.
You can also think of making Sachin as captian for some time to lead and explore the young team as in West Indies case so that a good team can bring within a reasonable time period.
Finally it is the media like Sony Max who are vulguring the Teams performance by mixing game with Astrology, neumeric etc etc.
Chappel will run of to Australia with his tail between his legs... But i wonder what is going to happen to his fav disciple. Not for nothing did BCCI made Sachin as the Vice Captain. At that time it was said that Dravid need someone to guide him and so Sachin was made the VC. It was the first step taken by BCCI in making Sachin as the captain.. Dravid could have salvage his position if India had performed well in WC... but with India's pathetic display Dravid days as Captain is numbered...
So all Dravid's die hard fans... pity guys but ur Idol is going to get the boot
The main reason for India's failure is pressure from media & public which players are unable to handle. Defeats used to occur when Kaps or Sunny were there and inconsistant performance was always there but nobody burnt effigys or gave slogans then. The overhyped dream came to an abrupt end when India lost to B'desh by overconfidence & lost to srilanka bcoz of lack of confidence. This is exactly inconsistant behaviour which Indians are known for. Victory abroad has become almost impossible now. Advertisers will recover their money in next serises.

karmakar, you know what when we lose in our exams this is what we give excuse that my parents were expecting too much. India lost to both these teams cause there was no clear planning. Even if the leader is good, teams get defeat but with struggle but here no stuggle was shown in both the matches by Indians. They lost cause they deserve not more than that.

Clearly true statement Kiran. The interfearence of Media has caused the debacle. One win makes the team unbeatable & one loss is made to bring them down. The poor & overhyped media is responsible for the current position in our country for the team.
A player is declared to be declared in form whereas another low profile score makes the same player declared out of form.

Oh i see Mr. Kiran. How much did Kaps or Sunny earned through advertisement revenue.. Every small cricketer has a restaurant - whether it was thinkable in those days. If you want money, you need to get brickbats also.
Ganguli was wise captain but not good batman while dravid is a good batsman but not wise captain. In my opinion looking to the next world cup which is in 2011 BCCI should think of young captain and young players and kick off all sr. players.

Now compare that with ganguly: 1) he was the guy to hit 100 in test match against australia played in australia 2) he was the guy who won natwest final 3) he singlehandedly won sahara cup twice for india the list goes on. he brought new meaning to team india... sachin epitomises all that is wrong with indian cricket... he is meek and submissive.. never puts up a fight.

I think we all need to take it as a game and not get emotional about India dosen't making to the next round. Atleast, the men in blue has helped us relieving of mental stress which we all go thro when india plays. The strategy failed miserably. We failed to play as a group. We never showed any intensity neighter we had the egerness to win. We played, because we have to. the result was the last concern on our players mind. We lost a mind game. We started with "what we lose" attitude. Which i think will do no good to any player.
In any case, so heads are set to roll and i would like to see the turmoil Team India would go thro in the next 15 days.
We can pray for the indian team to come back stronger and the so called SENIORS to be given a pink slip with RIP inscribed on it.

Few corrections to be made if India should perform well in future: 1. BCCI should strictly implement rule, that no player should act in any ad films. 2.If any player didnt perform for 2 or 3 mathces, they should be dropped. 3. They can be recalled only if they perfom well in domestic matches(like Ganguly did this time). 4.Selection should be made on merit basis, and not by past perfomance and experience. 5. Lot of matches should be played outside India,selecting only few within India. 6. If not possible to play abroad lot of matches, should try to improve the Pitches in India like abroad.
There are also some more important points, which i may not have discussed here. I have listed only few.
If all these are followed, then India can come back in Cricket.
