Guys you must have heard that BCCI is planning to appoint Sachin as a new captain. Don't you think its irritating as the person who is the main accused behind India's debacle is in a fray to get this offer? In my opinion he should be sacked from our team and we should run a campaign regarding this. He is a worst batsman India has ever produced, what is the use of his record when he always fails in crucial matches. Let us unit together and teach these traitors lessons.

Why only Sachin. Gentleman, remember the 2003 World Cup match India Vs. Pakistan. Sachin can only play that type of innings. Can ganguly play, can dravid play such type of innings. What is ganguly doing 70 bals forty runs, this type of inings will not win a tem the world cup trophy.
Sachin is a good player India ever seen. That is the truth. He is the only person at No. 1 Batsman position for a long time. Times has gone. Why not somebody from india replace him. There is no talent in India to come at No.1 spot.

Only Sachin because Indian wanted more from him. He had a fame but what he did. The crucial Match against Srilanka and he bold out like a kid. He has never performed in a big matches for India, few exceptions must be there but those exceptions are very rare. You take Mark Boucher, he is the real great player! he has done a lot for his team when needed. He don't have a solid record as Sachin has but he always performed on crucial occassions. You asked why Sachin and not others, its simply because all other fellows I am talking about batsmans have played many times to give India victory. Yuvraj, Dhoni, Dravid and Ganguly has done it many times. But Sachin has never done. In all matches which you would have in your mind as the reason to win due to Sachin were not actually due to Sachin, for instance 2003 WC match against Pakistan sachin made 98 runs and got out when India was short by well above 100 runs and from that stage it was Dravid and Yuvraj who take us win match. So correct your stats my dear friend and don't make nonsense replies

Can't put blame on one person. All were responsible for this. Not only Greg, Dravid and Sachin. Look the way they played. Dhoni, Yuvraj, Saurav all are responsible for the exit. Please understand there are eleven to play.

It seems you are his neighbour. What he has done? He is considered to be the world class batsman but do you remember any of his innings in which he stayed from begining to end and get victory to us? He is simply nothing and do not deserve position in team. If he hasn't been dropped I will run a campaign to sack him and my campaign will be on all India level and will surely make an impact and BCCI will have to accept it. Today 90% of India's population is against Sachin and you don't believe I damaged my TV when I saw him.

don't waste money and time for Sachin. you can't do anything. you don't know causes of Indian failure.
India Player should deserve out of world cup 2007. They have No.1 batsman in the world like sachin Dravid etc. Bowler has done well but batsman has not done good in world cup. Batsman has not score runs in world cup which may be loss/out of world cup.
Regarding Greg, I think he was sidelined while team selection. He wanted youth, but he had to go with the original team of two three year ago.
Dravid is not much aggresive as Saurav (based on the look in TV)but he is a good player and thinker. He backed Sehwag, who only put some resistance in last two matches.
Stratergy of putting Sachin in middle to provide strengh in middle order had to changed after return of Yuvraj and Ganguly.
Seeing the performance of Ganguly, I think he is best suit for Middle order.
Sachin can't click when needed. We should give him some chance, but I think the sun is about to set. Saurav is wasting balls and creating unnecessary pressure as a senior. He should be well understood or put him in middle order. Worst part is running between the wicket.If he was in form, he should have played. He is not match winner now. Still he is a good player. Dravid is somewhat not suitable to one dayers. Dhoni, you can't reliable on because of in consistancy. Yuvraj, un reliable too.
To move ahead ground fielding, fitness level, enthusiasm in field and proper batting stretergy is must. We had superb batsman on paper, but unable to unite and extract them. It will not be wrong if said, They all are playing for themselves now the way Saurav, Yuvraj, Sachin batted.
The main issue is Captaincy. I think Yuvraj and Dhoni are better. But both are not mature in terms of consistancy and vision. They can be put as deputy of some one for some time say dravid only.(But for some time only)
I strongly believe that to groom youngster as captain. And in my opinion Kaif as the ability to lead Indian team as he has the experience and won Junior world cuo for India. Axe senior players like Kumble, Sehwag, Harbhajan, Agarkar etc and bring Pawar,Raina, RP SIngh, Kaif to the Indian Team. Coach should be Indian and Sandeep Patil can be tested as coach.

It seems u want indian team to lose all matches in fuure. How can one talk abt Kaif who has got most no of chances. He is the most hopeless player...o sorry he cannot be called a cricketer since he is only a fielder
I suggest the Indian women cricketers should have their hair trimmed and sport a moustache and replace the mens team. At least they will play better than these cats.
Let's schedule a anti world cup 2007 in india and finals will be in Pakistan. The countries agreed to particiate are : 1) India 2) Pakistan 3) Canada 4) Bermuda 5) scotland 6) Nederland 7) Kenya 8) Zimbabwe Also, Bangladesh,Ireland,England, westindies are willing to participate in the antiworld cup as soon as their matches are over at super8. They will directly play the 2nd rnd since they qualified for the super8's.
Any suggestions to pick up the indian team are welcome from the BCCI.

lets also try out China, USA and Japan.... gives our over paid cricketers more confidence... atleast they may be able to tear their bowling apart....
The basic things like playing full quota of 50 overs has been forgotten by our cricketers. Even, against Srilanka, if they applied themeselves to play full quota of 50 overs, there would not have been any difficulty to win the match.

As much as fans berate on Chappell's idea of experimentation 2 years prior to the WC. Im still in favour of it.
In my opinion our players cannot adapt to the different conditions and demands of each game. Each player has his personality and likes to do "his thing" while in the middle and therefore the team does not collectively address the problem posed by the opposition. Example: Dhoni going for this shots when Dravid was well settled, Sehwag trying to be too cute. Ganguly and Sehwag opting to hit boundaries and ignoring the singles. The list can go on.
The idea of the experimentation was to provide a player with a simulated situation of how it feels to bat at a position that is generally not posed to them. eg. Dhoni/Pathan coming in the 1st 15 overs of a game. This could happen when a team loses its top 4-5 wickets early and it is left to such players to resurrect the innings. If analysed closely though Australia does not change their batting order they show the awareness to adapt their batting styles to suit the game and the situation.
Sadly that plan was aborted and we fell back to our comfort zone and things went alright against WI and SL wram-up series before the WC. Suddenly when the pressure built up a wee-bit and our players crumbled under it. Age, experience , talent etc. were levelled flat and we looked like a sunday-league side.
It is each player's responsibility to understand the situation and act accordingly and is too much to ask of the captain and coach to speak to every individual and spoon-feed them on how to play.
After watching Aus/SA game on saturday, they clearly seem to be in a different league to India. I wouldnt say they have more or less talented players than India but their players show a far greater understanding of the game and adapt very quickly.

Its so nice to see someone with so much optimism for Mr. Chappel. I confess iam not a Greg Chappel admirer because i do not believe in his Coaching Capabilities. he was a great batsmen at his era but alas not a coach material.He screwed up the basic structure of game by not having specialists on the name of flexibility which created havoc with Indian Team. None of the players were knowing about the role they have to play in the scheme of things. Everyone looks so confused and the so called "Guru Greg" is responsible for this whole mess. Just because he is foreigner do not save him from the responsibility towards the public of India. The biggest reason of Indian debacle was the Groupism in team as it was clear who are the two leader of this group. Dravid and Saurav never ever able to bury the past and thats the reason this Indian Team was so full of Individualism. Everyone knows who created this groupism in team. Guru Greg have shown very clearly that Foreigners can be more biased then Indians in selecting team or running the show. God save Indian Team from the Clutches of "Guru Greg". As far as his acumen is concerned we know the example of that in Kolkatta Finger Episode. The biggest favour which can be done to Indian Masses is to sack this Arrogant, Stupid and Good for nothing Coach.

As much as I liked Greg's idea, I hold him and Dravid fully responsible for the mess and must tender their resignations. It is not just enough that you have a good idea, you must be able to execute the idea.
What I wished to point out was the deeper problem that must be addressed by any coach that takes the team forward. It is about making all the players play as a team and shedding their individual personalities. It is an unenviable task which I dont think anyone will like to shoulder.
As it is rare chance our players are able to complete 50 overs play while playing out of country, it will be wise if we play only 2 over game. This will save time for all , fun to every one.
to check the interest of our players to play 2011 , we should stop playing international cricket for a while , there should be corporate view ( as in company a employee should not work for any other organisation until serving one) BCCI, while making contract should made it clear that not a single player will endorse any advertisement , instead put price for 4's , 6's , catches , giving additional incentive if we win game out side India , double the incentive if we can make 2011 happenning.
Benchmark 30 players now get them into agreement and add new.
