also include in that list Sachin, Sourav, Dravid, Sehwag, Kumble, Harbhajan, Agarkar, Dhoni.
My sincere advice would be to SACK.. Mr.Dravid / Ganguly / Tendulkar / Dhoni / Harbhajan / Agarkar. They are fit for nothing. They are not worth being in the team. They should quit on their own, before being sacked. Do you guys hear it!!!!!We dont require Model's, we need palyer's who have fire in their belly to WIN. Blaming Chapell is an Excuse!

Very True! Everyone has to blame someone...so they are blaming Chapell. It is like, if the student fails...blame the teacher!! With more than 250 odd ODI matches to their credit, they still lack the planning and the grit. They have pathetic body language, very much filmy!!
You see...everyone else can be fired, except Sachin, inspite of his bad performances! So what is the solution??? Make him the Captain. That way people will be fooled again. Sachin will still play, yet BCCI & other related morons can boast that they took drastic measures to improve the team performance.
Looks like another sad chapter in Indian Cricket is in the making, with news of making Sachin as the captain, trickling in. There will be more filmy stuff at the slips where we all will see the Hero chewing his finger nails.
If the Indian public is sensible, they will stop trashing the Indian cricket players. Remember the Indian players come from folks like you and me. Understand their pain of an early exit if you are a true cricket fan.
The worst thing that can happen to Indian cricket in the near future - India joining the group of minnows. Sachin should not be made the captain at any cost. Even as an ordinary player his form is pathetic. And if captaincy is given, then even god can't save India. He is a legend, there's no doubt. But even legends age old. Let him retire from ODIs gracefully.
Sehwag, Agarkar and Harbhajan must be given 'saurav's' treatment, i.e., drop them from the team for an year. Let them come back with fire.

And what abt Saurav? include him again for his heroics of bangladesh match
I beleive the vision and plans of Greg Chappell were correct. He seems more interested in the long term growth of Team India than any of the Indian cricket fraternity. The Aussies started with their development programmes in 80s (late 80s), the results of which started coming in late 90s. Their selection system is extremely harsh by Indian Standards (Bevan at this age will definitely make into the Indian Team), but it is fair. Their vision is clear. They have invested heavily into domestic cricket, talent development etc. Does the BCCI even know what these words mean ...
Blaming Greg Chappell for failure is extremely short sighted .. An Aussie coach cannot gaurantee you aussie success
In the time that he came, the big three of Indian cricket have got older and infirm
Was it wrong to throw out Ganguly at the time? Everybody knwos that the coach was fair and straightforward in his remarks and views, and Ganguly played all sorts of politics to come out of it. I am sorry to see how most bengalis dont understand this. Ganguly's record from almost 1 - 1.5 years before shows his failure.
Anyways, but after that exclusion the coach unfortunately got stuck up in the mud. 'You can't stay clean while working in a coalmine.' A few failures and the pressure from various sides was immense, and all the plans/strategies had to be abandoned.
Greg's only failure was that he could not come out of the Indian politics. Yes, Indian cricket is down at the moment. But the best thing that can be done now is to give him a free hand. Maybe, give him a role more than just a coach, involve him in other aspects as well (selecting, planning).
It cannot be denied that Greg is more honest and will be more sincere towards building Indian cricket, than most Indian cricket fraternity.
'Stuck up in mud' doesnt mean that he started playing politics. By that statement, i mean that the pressures from various sides that came in were outside of his control, and he kind of became helpless to counter those.

That's true, When Ganguly was not performing, he was out of team. It was very good job done by Greg. When he performed, why he was out of the team and could not get any chance to prove his ability? Remember Pakistan match. What was wrong at that time? Only when Indian team suffered at SA, then they invited Saurav.
Let us forget what has happened along with old (above 30) players of the present WC team. Rebuild team with young players sidelined for many years inspite of promise because of iconic old players with fitness difficulties and reflexes. Be it Sachin, Sourav, Dravid or Kumble, they should be dropped if they do not retire from the game on their own. Now the question arises who would be the Captain of the future team? He should be a man with strong mental set up and earns respect from his ability but his lifestyle is respectable to team as well as to the public ( no heroic attitude). All selected players (30 in all) be given monthly compensations match fee (on match to match basis) depending on performance and debarred from sponsorship and advertisements for the period he remains as selected members.Out of the selected players most deserved one should be selected as captain. Lastly an Indian coach be considered who will do the job along with other assistants. And no interference from selectors or BCCI bosses.
Team should be selected based on the Psychology of the players. This should be the first criteria. In armed forces, this is the selection process (for Officer Cadre) bcoz what they believe is, if a person's psychology is suiatable for that job then he can improved even from scratch. They are not selected on the basis of physique in the beginning. Later they build the candidate in the cruical areas like war, disaster management etc. U can build the person according to the requirements of the game. if they r mentally strong then half of the match is won. Therefore psychological tests must be conducted to asses the suitability of the players to the game. Bcoz its no more a game now. Now Cricket is played more as a mental game. For this reason BCCI must take initiative of adopting this method and try it on the young boys (under 14). Select the players and train those who get through the tests. Its like a cricket school.

I believe we again have to look forward and do the simple thing ..bring cricket from root.
Indian board claims to be the richest board but the money lies at the top level and it is the worst board simply beacuse it does only know how to increase money but not how to increase the level of cricket. The money has been invested in high level not at school level or any proper cricket grooming schools. India can always improve business but not cricket unless the money making mind changes to cricket developing nation. Small countries like NewZealand , Srilanka focus on cricket improvement rather than money weaving machine.. Live, Play for cricket motto has change to Live Play for money based on cricket.
