Rahul dravid is unfit to be in one day cricket. He is inserted into one day form by way of wicket Keeping.
India can play one day cricket only in India.
Rahul as a dynamic captain should have come either as an opener or one down to lead the indian team to victory. Now he is blaming everyone. He saw to it that the wickets crumble one after other and he will come to stay till the last over doing nothing and playing for the next series or tour.
If u had seened them playing against both srilanka and bangladesh, it was as though they are playing after a sudden death to some one near and dear. There was no enthusiasm among the batsman. They showed their mannersim of losers.
The seniors should leave voluntarily taking responsibility for the defeat. People below 25 alone should be selected for the match. They should field, bowl and bat.
What is great in seniority and experience, it is just to make money only.
Look at the way the young bangla played.
There was no conviction and sincearity.
u keep on rotating the players giving chance to all young players.
There is no solution and u need only young blood.
we had kapildev, madanlal, roger binny, mohindar amarnath in 1983. All are alrounders and who can change the result.

how did dravid ensure that wickets crumbled around him? what happenned to the grat ganguly and master blaster sachin? who is responsible?
Sachin is 100% responsile for the India out of world cup. I think some person say that Sachin is great player. I think this is not correct. He was a great player and you should believe on "WAS". Indian current player think "Chal ta hai"....People will say and then they will forgett after some time again we will be selected for nexxt match...If any player scores 50 or 100 in a single match out of 5/6 match then also he will be elected for the next match. Again he is not required to score for next few match. This is the situation of indian cricket player. I think if they have a little quantity of shame. they (All the participant) should take retirement from cricket after getting down from airport. Then they should return to tehir home. At last i would like to say "There is no word for the current indian cricket team"................ Only they should play with Burmuda, Scotlan, Netherlan, Zimbabe and they should find the team who are struggling to qualify to enter the world cup cricket.....
Rediff removes all messages that insults to it. Also I think rediff should stop taking views of some sensitive messages which may lead to communal riots in India & also abroad.Otherwise someday it may be banned by the govt.
Do not call this a knee jerk reaction.... fact is everybody in the team is taking his place for granted ....Drop forever Sachin, Dravid,Ganguly,Sehwa(s), Kumble, and the like. Make VVS Laxman the New Captain of India One day side ... gv chance to the likes Manoj Tiwari, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Kartik (he has always played well). No Kaif or Raina pls.. had they been consistent .. ganguly and sehwag wud hv been out ...

It seems Laxman is ur friend. Laxmandoesnt deserve a place in ODI's. Young players should get chance. laxman cannot run and is a pathetic fielder
It was a great piece and Arjun clearly gave the thoughts with a level headedness which is lacking with our BCCI.
Really, we can not blame the coach alone and sack him as the solution. As Arjun said, it was the same coach with his emphasis on youth and fitness who gave a chain of one day series victories. But then it hurted the interests of senior players. So one failure and with BCCI backing they came back and forced him change his plan.
Are not we the ones who asked for experience when our youngsters failed once, especially in the seaming bouncy tracks of SA, where we have never fared better? Now we had the team and every experts agreed its the best team! So why blame the coach and selectors alone now?
Really, its BCCI who is making Indian cricket a tamasha! Where else you can see a politician (Pawar) or a business tycoon (Dalmya) running a cricket board? What the hell they know about cricket the game and how to groom youngsters? Do these honourary members know about professonalism and accountability, which are the two virtues devoid in politics??
With this how can ever think of matching the Aussies/SAF? No chance. Unless BCCI is made of professionals, we will lose out and win occasionally, with some individual brilliance. But only when we perform consistently as a collective unit, we can match Australia. Already Srilanka and Bangladesh have learned it and fast improving in this increasingly fit and hard game of cricket. But we are still in the midset of the 80s!!

Played who have not performed well in WC also should be droped for 6 months!
Everyone should questioned in indian team. Even yuvraj also.Nobody can rescue. talking about sachin.. in earlier times he will blast the offside balls, but nowadys he is leaving all off side balls, that shows his lack of confidence. what made him to lack confidence?? he was telling that i was not 17???? is it correct answer.... no. Ricky ponting is 32yrs old just one less then sachin.. Mcrath is 37 yrs Hayden 35 gilchrist 35
the list keep going on.... I was a great fan of sachin... all i want to do is just goahead and hit and play normally as before...or atleast hit and out dont get out playing worst defence shorts. if not he may retire .. that is the best option...

Reriring now will help sachin retain some respect. If he shows poor form for next 4 years and India is oout of WC2011 in the first 3 games, ppl will lose respect for him.
Basically strategies go wrong and mistakes do happen. I have played cricket and I know some days nothing work on the field. Let\'s take it.
In every prefession this bounds to happen time again. Sales guys will miss the targets, Projects will slip for Project Managers, Politicians do not deliver, Many films flop, Vehicles do meet accidents etc etc.
But big money from endorsements are deviating the focus of cricketers.
It is high time for BCCI to look into this aspect to resolve the problems like match fixing(if exists), loosing important games etc
We must see silverlining in India's defeat at the hands of Bangladesh. In 1979, we lost world cup match against then minnows Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka went on to be world cup winner in less than twenty years. We have now lost to Bangladesh. Surely, they might emerge victorious in world cup in about twenty years. What more consolation that converting minnows into world champions.
