Determination lacs not just in cricketers but in all Indians
by vish Pat on Mar 26, 2007 04:03 PM  Permalink

One positive point of Team India coming back is the "setback to sponsorers, betting guys and match fixing bookies". Dravid/Chappel shouldnt be made scape goats, coz alone dravid can not win match for india.

SACHIN didnt watch the ball clearly, he was not fresh thats what I can see in his stroke.
GANGULY played unnecesary stroke at that point when his presence was most important
YUVRAJ unnecessarily ran for a NO-run affair
DHONI didnt even bother to play the ball, when even a non playing guy like me can guess a doosra from MURALI.
HARBHAJAN a spinner on a slow pitch concedes 54/0 (how sick)
So better we construct an enthusiastic team, see lankans how they celebrated every wicket of Indians. at their level ITS MENTAL GAME. STEVE WAUGH won the world cup by MENTAL game, he didnt have enough technique like our stallwarts.
DROP unnecessary people, like SACHIN, SHEVAG, ANIL, AGARKAR who have hogged a spot in Indian team, and give way to some juniors.

India always Bleam others
by Samala Marianna Michael on Mar 26, 2007 04:02 PM  Permalink

India always blames others?

Gra Chappel is not the person at the person to take this failure responsibility. Few reasons I will give.
1.      It become business, not sport
2.      Yes I agree the wining and losing is the part of sports will the players agree to give back all the money when they lose the game? Never it issport to our[selfish players]
3.      Why you want Sachin to become captain he is not eligible to be a player here after. How many matches he played against Sri Lankan? What happen that experience? Every thing is waste.
4.      Our players are not good athletics? Then why should keep them in the team?
5.      can%u2019t you find 11 members in 100 cores citizens. [ more population] .
6.      sack all the players and keep new teams.
7.      Indian cricket should be away from the selfish people, politicians.

When we failed in west indies last year what did the board decide.....The boundries dry up in the middle order we need layers hu can play the ball in the gas n run singles
who was our best batmens...... Kaif?
Yes Kaif he doesnt make headlines like dho dhala.. he doesnt slog on indian wickets battin at 6 but hes a true batmens hu bats on a seeming wicket and was ideal for the situation in trinidad...

Indira Gandhi is responsible

Mrs Indira Gandhi is responsible for the Indian team's debacle at the 2007 worldcup as she was responsible for the creation of the Bangladesh in the year 1971.

DISAPPOINT WORLD CUP EXIT
by MohdYusuf Shaikh on Mar 26, 2007 04:00 PM  Permalink

This is my short story which i have written to show my courtesy towards nation which must highlighted to each individual of our nation who shows they are Indians.

DISAPPOINT WORLD CUP EXIT

Why couldn%u2019t we make Super Eight Entrance ?

It was obvious from the performance of our team against Bangladesh. We are over-confident, we lacked in planning, poor cricket in all fields, no team spirit. There is not one to be blamed. The problem lies in the base i.e Selection system and implementation. There are lots of if%u2019s & but%u2019s and our team always depends on these factors. It is very sad that in an event like World Cup. We have to depend on the performance of the teams like %u201CBermuda%u201D.

The other problem is today%u2019s media. How often we have seen players like Sachin, Sehwag, Dhoni performing well in commercial rather than cricket ground. It%u2019s mean that they are full satisfied with commercial earning from the sponsors, so they put extra efforts in that. They never put extra skills to remain as a sportsman or to play in the name of nation, our Indian play myth that will never be forgotten.

Our players are competing with bollywood stars in giving more and more commercial to gain enormous fund and their name in the market for just selfishness. Our Indian sponsors are also so crazy about it.

We all fans including media & the sponsors shall come forward and put pressure on BCCI by putting norms on cricketer if a player non-perform or if he fail in psychological test with no team spirit towards the cricket then he must be fire.

%u201CPERFORM BE THE PART OF TEAM%u201D

This must be the slogan of %u201CSelection Committee%u201D

Strategies!!!!!!!
by Amit Gupta on Mar 26, 2007 03:58 PM  Permalink

why were these strategies adopted ?
1. Tendulkar batting at no4 ??????? ( we all forget that his entire career he has played as an opener and very successfully too. was the world cup stage chosen to experiment and get him accustomed to no4 position ?
2. Utthappa was sent as opener ??? what success he had to be granted such a important position ?
3. Why was irfan pathan not picked against SL ?
4. Kumble was the best bowler against Bermuda. why was he replaced with harbhajan in next match ?
5. Agarkar has proved that he is better bowler when he comes first change and bowls with a spread field. then why was he made to open the bowling and munaf kept as first change ?
Mr. Chappel and company chose world cup as the stage to experiment new combinations. i think it 's all part of preparations for world cup 2011!!!!!!!
