by on Mar 25, 2007 12:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The most fixed of the tournaments in the history of proffessional sports was the world cup of 2003.Now things are back to normal at that front. But,alas some of the biggest whales of fixin? are still in Indian team.India will never win world cup with either of them.

One correction, the most fixed tournament in the history of cricket was the world cup of 1992, which made a no hoper team a winner and earned bookies millions of $$$$.

Its a public knowledge that in the 1999 World cup couple of paki matches were fixed, where in the final you guys threw national glory too for the lure of $$$s.

go and set your house in order , you looser, before throwing stones at others

RE:the entire dynamics of the team was destroyed by more...

Well.. what is the well being of team suggested by you Sir cric fan?

Ajay Jadeja was cited as an instance as far as crunch situations are concerned.

Give me a few instances where the reigning gods of the indian cricket has effectively saved matches for india or won the matches for india???

We are only concerned about the team's performance in terms of winning and losing.

Speak with facts, please.. we are all voicing our opinions..

If provincialism be the order of the day in Indian cricket.. why not support Ganguly?

not deserve .................
by M RM on Mar 25, 2007 12:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I cannot believe how a captain of the team

speaks irresponsibly like this

"We did not deserve to go to the next round,".

If they know they were not deserving to go to the next round, then why the M..... F.......

accepted to play against SL. They should have

refused first itself.

We could have sacked and throw the Indian team away in the Atlantic sea itself

Bullshit and Bullshit
by Hitesh Verma on Mar 25, 2007 12:36 AM  Permalink

This defeat is only and only due to the known living legends of cricket like Sachin,Rahul and Ganguly who r good for nothing.I can't understand why the great Sachin Tendulkar is still in the team, why he is not seeking retirement on his own and continuing damaging the future of indian cricket? He is not letting new youngsters to come on the arena.Even cricketers from Canada,Ireland etc r better than him at present. He should take batting tricks from Munaf Patel.

Kudos to Kiran more for telling the truth!! While leaving the post of selector he has made a good team of youngmen for the Indian team, but when the new selection committee took over, it became a matter of policy to reinstate the past cricketers who are past their prime, it is no wonder then that India lost badly. Surely the new selection committee members are answerable for that, but not the one headed by Kiran more, who have unearthed a good bunch of youngsters who were not stars but played as a team!!

why do you bengaalis always jump in to support ganguly. he is 6 years past is due date, and one of the main culprits for this world cup debacle. starting with the bangladesh match where he pottered around for god knows how many dot balls and creating undue pressure for others.

and finally when others decided to adjust to his dead slow scoring rate and gave him the anchor role in the crucial lanka match, he chickened out holing out like a club cricketer.

if you guys can look beyond the bengaali angle and concentrate on the well being of the indian cricket you would not be supporting ganguly so much.

Since you have supported him to the hilt without any rhyme or reason, make him accountable for this defeat too if you have balls.

to be frank i am seriously tired of you brain dead bengaalis.

Brain dead bengalis? and which part of India might you be from, mr. klu klux clan? Irrespective of the fact, i don't think even your state cricketer has done anything? Dravid? Why, he could have maintained some sort of a partnership in the Bangladesh match? Tendulkar? Sehwag? If Ganguly's innings was poor, what were the rest doing?

The problem with you jealous assholes are that you can't get down to believe the fact that he was the only mainstay of the World Cup team! Had it not been for him, we would have not only been booted out of the world cup, but would have been so humiliated that i doubt if we could ever pick up the bat again.

Admit the fact that the whole team messed up the tournament. Was Dravid anywhere a good captain? Don't blame any player, the fact remains Ganguly took the team to the 2003 WC Final, Dravid got us out at the League stage!

Bengali, or no Bengali, this is a fact which you pseudos can never change!

keep trying!

Subhojit Sanyal, a proud Bengali and a Sourav Fan!

Abe bangali salo. Ganguly ganguly karna band karo....When he was sacked he deserved that. After that he did not prove himself in domestic cricket level to come back to India team...? I mean to say you have to blame all. All are culprit even Sharad Power,Media,BCCI,Adv Agency. Samajh gaye bangali salo.

But who toiled in that World Cup ?

Sachin scored match winnings.
Finals he failed but only Sehwag played in that innings against Australia.

What Saurav did this time ?
What Ganguly did there except scoring against minnows
against NAMIBIA City Oval not out *112
KENIYA Newlands not out *107
KENIYA Kingsmead not out *111

Now what against NZ 3,AU 24 ,PAK 0 AUS 9, EN19

Is he not king of minnows ?

He kept that record in this world cup
But no centuries only VERY VERY SLOW match loosing performances.

Ganguly has many defects, but when he was captain, he has nurtured the young players very well, supported them very well & in most instances, got the best out of them. I AM NOT A BENGALI.
