Events point at Inzamam as a probabale suspect
by vamsee kolluri on Mar 23, 2007 03:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Consider these recent developements
1. Its an open fact that inzamam (and his team members) had soured relationship with woolmer
2. Woolmer recently stated that he would start writing a book in which he will mention about match fixing by pakistan (including some of its key team members (Inzamam included???)) and contacted the chief of Cricinfo.com in this regard.
3. Inzamam did not mention a single word about his retirement in this world cup before the world cup started.
4. If you think he retired owinf to the bad performace of his team with Ireland, then he should have announced his retirement immediately after the match. But it did not happen, instead he announced it immediately after woolmer's death.
5. Proabably Inzamam thought, it was better to retire now instead of having to quit the gamme in an unceremonious manner, if at all he was found guilty of woolmer's murder.
So where do all these clues point to??????

whotsoever has happend is very very unfortunate but no one can blame any religion for it. we never blame any society/religion or even anyone else for a fault of certain section. you must give respect to others/their religion & specially your argument proves that you have absolutely no knowledge about islam. for your kind info ISLAM never allows anybody for killing innocent people. i can go on & on & on to explain more but only due to time constraint..!

nope, u missed it. The match was fixed. Woolmer's wife co-ordinated with bookies. paki players led by Unis khan were bought. Inzy and Md Yousuf were not a part of it. Inzy knew that Shoiab Akhtar had contacts with bookies and hence kept him away from the team. Bt he cud not prevent others. When inzy or Yusuf learned that Bob fixed a match which is gonna throw pak out of world cup, he got emotional and attacked Woolmer. Woolmer got unintentionally killed by Inzy or yousuf or both.

Blood'y Cricket
by venu mallina on Mar 23, 2007 03:42 PM  Permalink

Game has lost its spirit - Cricketers look at this game as business which earns good money and fame as well. The spirit of sportsmanship is no longer there. Now this recent development of Mr Woolmer's murder shows the signs of Blood'y Cricket and it looks like this is just the begining. ICC should take more precautions if they want the game to exist. If not WE WILL ABANDON THE GAME -

dear Dev,
I dont think that the match was fixed and lets me be honest I feel that Bangladesh was better in all aspect that day....balling bating and feilding too...lets not take the credit of there hard work....but I dont deny to the fact that some of our Indian players may have some links ???really cant say with confidence....but yes the fact remains that the indian team needed a blow and what could have been a better blow than what they got from Bangladesh...
I wish they play to there level today...all the best

India will win today
by happy sks on Mar 23, 2007 03:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yes. India will win today in a match full of excitement .At any cost India has to win to make ICC world cup a popular & profitable event.
But whatever u'll c to night on TV,all are already planned to save ICC/BCCI/Sponsors & handled by Gangstars through bookies.
But we Simple indians will feel proud of our team for this win & will forget all past experiences.
TV news channels will be flooded with news/views/blogs/clips/comments on this match earning extra revenue through advertisements.

OK ENJOY IF U THINK CRICKET STILL ENTERTAINS YOU.

Just one word came to my mind, knowing this ...Bull Shet....
How could just a loss in a Cricket World Cup match leads to the death of one person...when life is the most precious gift of God...?

But no suprises...as it is from Pakistan as they are least considered about the death of people.

May God Bless the family of Bob Woolmer and give them strength to take this loss.

corruption behind murder
by neeraj pal on Mar 23, 2007 03:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yes, corruption is the motive behind murder as it is learnt from reliable sources that Paki players wanted equal share in the payback recieved from match fixing and PCB never disclosed the exact money recieved from bookies.
Paki players went to the height of kidnapping the coach, astt. coach and other support staff of world cup Pak team and when PCB didnot pay any heed they even started killing them one by one. Incidently, Woolmer was first to be killed. After, hearing about the woolmer's killing PCB officials gavein and are ready to share the payback recieved from bookies. The said last deal (Pak-Ireland match) is reported to be highest ever payback in the history of any game paid colectively to Sports body including prayers.
I think we should stand against this type of corruption, if not against corruption in our daily lives.
All support to the Players-in-hands of Bookies!
Bookies are great! They have brought so much money and bad name into the game.
