The only cricketer who committed murder: Former Indian Batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu
by Sajid on Mar 24, 2007 09:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Indian media is hell bent on proving (typical Bollywood style, without logic) that Pakistani team is involved in the murder of its coach.
So far I know only one cricketer who is convicted of Murder that is Navjot Singh Sidhu, former Indian cricket batsman and BJP MP.
The victim, a 65-year old man named Gurnam Singh.

well, its funny that you look at the news report with a sense of guilt. i dont see any such bias here. the coach died when he was with the pakistani team. nobody;s caliming the pakistani team players did it. for heaven's sake read the reports - there's finger printing of players going on, there's talk of dna test going on. when the needle of suspicion is pointed at the team, there's bound to be speculation. look at the world media, open your eyes. there will be tabloids in any country, dont read them. that ways mr. nawaz is forever talking trash - he's the first person who speculates the most. why dont you single him out.

if you want fairness, dont make blanket sweeping statements. if there are bookies involved in it. i believe bookies from all over the sub-continent will be involved, not only limited to any particular country.

no point trolling or fighting in the message boards - it will only vitiate the atmosphere

its too much speculation, cant pin the pakistani team. it must be terribly stressful for them! the poor guys need a break. they are fully justified to take a break. as for any enquiries - there's the scotland yard to take care of the investigation!

sorry boss. the priliminary investigation has been done. if anything's required, there's a competent scotland yard to take care of it. i doubt if its the pakistani team members anyways. most reports points towards the bookies, there's the missing manuscript report that lends credence to it.

If this happened in sub-continent.
by Ravi K on Mar 24, 2007 05:10 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If this happened in the sub-continent this murder could never have come to light - be it pakistan, india or Bangladesh.
Look at least one of the pakistani player is involved in the murder of their coach.
Involvement of Betting mafia from Dubai, Karachi, Mumbai cannot be ruled out.
Interrogating past crickters like Azharuddin would get some clues about how the mafia controls cricket.
Hansie Cronje was killed in Air-Crash - was that really air-crash or was it done to protect other in the match fixing case?

Mr ravi i think ur trying to be an investigator , an accuser and a judge in this case. have ur senses right and let the investigation do the job. Azharuddin be interrogated for what for he became a scape goat few years back. See one thing "Everybody" took money at that time and only on some the axe was made to fall. This was the injustice done at that time

yeah - now that you mention it. maybe cronje wasnt killed in an accident after all. the cricket betting rings seems to bear all the trademark of the mumbai-to-gulf bad criminals. or else, who'd have the audacity to kill a coach of a national team mid-way through the worldcup!

paki team should be banned from international cricket for the next 30 years, just like south africa were in the past.

if the toothless ICC cannot enforce that, individual nations should stop themselves from engaging with this nation of terrorists and criminal team.

if this is not done, i cant imagine how bob woolmers soul is going to rest in peace as hoped by millions of cricket fans.

expecting paki board to bring the culprits to justice in just not possible, would a terrorist incriminate a murderer, No.

So the best thing would be to, just ostacrize these criminals and let them rot in their own hell

Yes, murder is serious business. Ban the team for 3 years. No one has to get killed for losing a game. This is not 5th Century Mayan civilization

c'mon, stop making sweeping statements. what makes you think someone from the team do it ? most reports point it at the bookies.
