2 The Fans Of Indian Cricket
by chandra shekar kumar on Apr 01, 2007 01:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Warning: Down't take it Hard Just Keep Reading:

Well Fans, Did Dravid, Sachin or any 1 came 2ur home & said that that r going to win the WC. No. Its all Our Expectations. Our Trust on The Blue Team. They never told us to keep this.
1 Thing U can do, infact v can do to get a cult in Blue Team. JUST STOP USING All the BRANDS, ENDORSED by CRICK's. Why? B'coz When v buy those brands company will get buge profits, They pay that amt (apart) to Crick's, Their Pockets are full of ROSES, But URs/Us??? ?? ?
I started this STRATEGY from 1999. If u Can, u can join hands with me, so that they can play & depend only on the Board Fee or Remuniration or etc. Lets Stop Business With Feelings... .. . CsK

INDIA - losers at heart
by M Tabish on Mar 26, 2007 08:04 AM  Permalink

We had a World Cup squad that looked good from far, but turned out to be far from good.

THE BEST, most vaunted, feared, dreaded, accomplished, murderous BATTING LINEUP in the world Could not bat out its quota of 50 overs against the (so called) minnow's bowling attack %u2013 or the Srilankans.

The media hype, cricket frenzy, NEWS channels catapulting mere cricketers to the status of demi Gods n Gods == These "carnival freaks" ought to dig a hole for themselves (even deeper than the one they dug when batting against Bangladesh and Srilanka) and jump in it to never show their ugly, talent-less faces ever again! -- Sheesh, n to think of it , these television channels have wanted us to beleive that this is the team that will win us the World Cup!!! A multitude of television channels and media houses were touting the team as favourites. HAHA! -- All i can say to that is, day-dreaming is fine but should be left for ones personal time -- NOT aired to a billion people the country over!

The ICC has already eased eveyones lives by allowing ALL 8 PLAYING teams to qualify to the next round --so that everyone feels like they have EARNED it. But the truth is that the REAL competition i.e biggest prize in the game SHOULD not start at some qualifying stage. People should be made to really EARN their spot -- atleast like the SUPER SIX in 2003!

But India (and Pakistan), despite being served a berth on a golden platter (just like every other test playing team) have floundered even this chance. In actuality, making it to the semi finals too IS NOT and SHOULD NOT b a big deal at all because there are only 8 'competing' nations and 4 semifinal berths -- SO if India cant make THAT cut, it HAS ABSO-freakin-LUTELY NO RIGHT to call itself even a modestly "good team" -- let alone THE SECOND BEST TEAM behind AUSTRALIA!

After every loss in the matches preceding the cup, all the management including Greg Chappell always said that they were building a team for the WORLD CUP AND THAT THEY WERE FOCUSSED ON THE BIGGER PICTURE. Where is that team and wat picture?

Problem: A system that breeds mediocrity, over-hyped stars who could put Bollywood to shame, a plethora of cricket 'academies' that spin money, but don't teach kids how to spin a ball, an army of self-proclaimed coaches with dodgy records and a variety of officials who know as much about cricket as George Bush knows about peace.

The BCCI relies on the Indian fans short memory to ride over the rough weather. Despite being flush with funds, development of cricket and its infrastructure is as far removed from their agenda as Pluto is from Mercury.

The population of India is more than the combined population of all the other countries playing the world cup. Still India has always struggled to produce 11 decent cricketers. All the cricket management, the cricketers themselves and the uber-hyping media ought to jump in a dry well and choke each other to death %u2013End of story!

Bottom line is -- There wallets are bulging %u2013 there main problem is not baling India out of trouble but that their wallets are too small for their Rs.1000 notes. Playing for INDIA is no more a matter of pride for them but merely an access to a money making-machine -- Passion, selflessness and responsibility are the virtues which the Indian cricketers lack. So as long as there is no pride in playing for ones nation, these utmost ridiculous bunch of losers, collectively called - Men in Blue %u2013 will disappoint the Indian cricket fan over and over again.

The day the Indian cap will be worn wid pride and to uphold the esteem of a nation and a billion hearts, this team will become unbeatable!

Sadly enuf, that day is not anywhere near the horizon.

MOHAMMAD TABISH

Umpire's Decision
by srinath badrinarayanan on Mar 25, 2007 08:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is totally a blunder on the part of the umpires. A World Class umpire should have the knowledge to predict an easy LBW as the case or Tharanga's. It would have been his early exit and India would have gained confidence early in the game. Umpires have to be investigated in this issue.

Sachin, Sehwag, Dhoni, Dravid, Yuvraj... What a combination we have.... Each one of them are paid in 6 figures but you guys score runs in single figure.... Some are soo stingy that they don't want to open their account when it comes to runs...
Learn some lesson from Ireland players probably many of them don't have a bank account .. but they have done justice to the task that they are given....
Don't you feel pity for a billion fans out here who were watching with their mouth open till late night....? What right you have got to disturb peace in some many peoples lives? Even a beggar in India does only work at a time.... but u guys... u do modeling, do 100's of ads, have big big hotels.... What poor cricket has to do if you push it to the corner everytime it raises it head... Don't mistaken that Cricket is poor... You guys have made it look poor !

Cheers Naveen.
