Devdas is right. Its not the religion but is the person who does the wrong. I have very good muslim friends and during the babri masjid issue i was stranded in a muslim locality in hyderabad. I was very much safe in a muslim fiends house though i am a hindu by birth. The botomline is we all fight in the name of religion but cant accept humanity as the main objective.

The tragic death of Woolmer reveal the fanaticism and immaturity of people regarding regarding sports etc..Why dont we just watch a game for it is..a Game..not a War between countries.. Why are we so immature as to put our heart and souls into the hands of 11 men (who are out there anyway to make money and fame for themselves)? Dont we have minds of our own?
I pray that Woolmer's death will reduce the fanaticism associated with cricket in the Indian sub-continent and that we all realize that everyone of us are as good and as talented as those 11 men, and that they are not Gods, but mere humans like us who are liable to make mistakes.

Early morning IST today channels started flashing Dawood connection to the morder. If for a moment, you get out of the Ostrich approach; think... This death has led us back to the same perennial question. Pakistan's current setup is the biggest hazard to a peaceful world. Imagine, now it has reached even Cricket. You may choose to stay away, but the problem is growing in a large proportion, and whatever life you are living Ms. Annie, this problem will eventually catch up with you. That is, unless you decide to ask for a wholesome action against the origin of all such problems - Pakistan.

I dont even think you have understood what I am trying to say. I do hate the idea of a mere cricket game being the target of fundamentalism. We as a nation tend to glorify sportpersons, moviestars, and politicians to the status of God. This whole business is a lesson for us that the above mentioned are mere mortals, no better than any of us. Therefore, it is unnecessary to be agitated over losing a mere game, leading to terrible repurcussions like murder. When will our minds develop to such a level that we cease to elevate such people to a demi-god status and then react adversly when the demi-god proves to be a mere mortal?
I do not like to express a political opinion unless I am sure of my facts, unlike you Mr/Ms Indian. I am just talking from a soceital point of view, how we could develop as self respecting human beings. If Pakistan bashing is the current fad right now, please do indulge in it. I have no right to judge others when my own country is in such a mess. Let us help in taking action against all these corrupt, dictatorial, self-styled demi-gods who function as politicians in some parts of our country, let us take action against those involved in the Nithari killings. Let us clean up our country from within and then look outwards.
How made the people are going behind after all a sport.It had taken the life of a human that too with a most disheartful nature....ICC should stop playing cricket at the international level atleast for a while.
