It is not fair to blame the Indian team for a loss against Bangladesh. For sure, it came at the wrong time, but Bangladesh played well on that day. But they were firmly put in their place by a resurgent Sri Lanka. Remember, Pakistan lost to Bangladesh in the 1999 WC and still reached the finals (the format would have been different but does not matter). Add to it, India has a good record over Sri Lanka in neutral venues (outside the subcontinent and Sharjah). I guess the last time we lost to them outside was in 1975 WC in England. So let's hope for the best.

dude, while i take your point, it seems terribly fishy these days. 'cat on the wall' teams like india/ pakistan - losing against odds, losing their minds on particular days, a coach dying. it all makes up for a very good conspiracy theory. only the sub-continent teams have this air of uncertainty. ive been watching cricket for a very long time. but not for once have i felt like the way im confident about aussie winning when they are in form!
the team owes thier huge financial success to the fans. at least they should get together to return the favour! for once, be consistent and dont give us the jitters. i dont care about the world cup - but on a long run the winning percentage for india should be better than what it is now, and more consistent!
Don't expect much From Team - India, The team who lost to Bagladesh has no confindence at all.what difference will it make to beat minnows like Bermuda. When u r expecting to win the World Cup you have to beat TOP GUNS in the business.. What do u think???????????

IND Loss to Bangladesh or PAK loss to Ireland will not make any difference in their quality of play and chances of winning matches. After all oneday cricket is un-predictable. We should accept the fact that Bangladesh and Ireland are improving their games to the level of test playing countries.

yeah, a one off loss isnt much. i wont read into the result but - i will definetely look at what went wrong. why do we as a team and the requisites - good batsmen(always), we have a good batsman keeper, we have good bowler. so why arent we clicking ?

Well buddy Wats your problem man. If u win against a weak tem then u say wats the use of winning against a weak opponent. And if u lose againsht a weak opposition u say we lost against a weak opponent. That means whenever we play we should draw the match rite?
All the talk about captaincy at this juncture is a joke. Wish all the players in the team are Indians.Every player should thrive to win matchn against SL. Don't see Bangladesh game loss will alter our Team India's capabilities.Right now SL is sure of going into Super 8 does not mean that though India playing under pressure loose the game. I wish and request all the players to put in their best.Good luck Team India.

agarkar doesnt inspire confidence even though he's been good at times. sreesanth of late has been expensive, but the lad has the cnfidence and the aggressiveness in him.
Why u require so many openers in a team. If u include D.karthick then the middle will be strong and also even openers failled a good middle order batsmen can build a nice score for a team.
vaas, lasith and murali are no bermuda bowlers they r class bowlers so performance against bermuda can be a ground to hope india will bt bermuda or that our indians are in form. only way india can bt Sri lanka is getting jaysuriya out ASAP in the innings esp if sl is chasing. he is like wine older he is dangerous he becomes. he has very good record against us. so get him out. As for indias performance, sehwag got his 100 after 2 years so imagine bermudas bowling.

yeah jayasuriya is very good against indians. kumble fares badly - remove him. we have some confidence in beating them of late, hopefully that should help, and india's record of qualifying for semis- or finals is good (but not on the big day, oddly)

Agarkar has good records against Jayasuriya and Jayawardane. Infact he has that ability to pick left handers(Jayasuriya, Gayle, Langer etc..) early. It is important that one should get Jayasuriya out early.

while kumble is good in the death, for sweeping the tail, he's had a bad patch against lankans. so i guess resting him would be good idea, he's terrificfighter though!

Because, Agarkar has proved that he can take wickets though quite expensive.

But I'm not against Pathan's inclusion. He should come in for Uthappa. Without 5 bowlers, we dont have the chance of bowl opposition out. Pathan should be in as a allrounder.
