Its awful to hear ramiz raja commenting. He is so biased that either he keeps taunting the opposition or praising his team.
He never has a neutral stand & the difference b/n him & other commentators becomes clearly noticeable.

No body is forcing Imran to believe!
by manish agarwal on Mar 22, 2007 05:23 PM  Permalink

It is for sure that Bob Woolmer was a professional. He can not sucide.Though he might be overstressed due to happenings on the fateful day but for a person of his status and rank it is not possible to take such action as is also clear the from mail he has sent on the fateful day that he was sure that he will be sacked as a coach after the tournament and he will devote more time in writing articles in magazines etc.It appears by the information available so far that it is a case of intentional murder effected by punter mafia.I don't know why Imran is saying like that when he himself is knowing all this.May be to protect the image of his team about whom people know how aggressive they are at the field and off the field both.

Although its a game ... but for few its time of madness.. I read few fans sold their kidneys to made to the world cup ..Bob's death is linked to emotions ..It could be his own emotion that he decided to suicide or Bookies emotions who lost money .. or playes ..whose ego might have come into play or could be emotion from a pakistan fan ... In everycase ..it will be considered as Murder of a life ..so its a Murder

It can't be a sucicde for sure, he seems to be too sensible to do that.
And lets assume for a moment he did, then he would have sure written a note about it. Right?

Why would Bob Woolmer die of heart attack or shock at pakistan's defeat. Bob was a thorough professional and he has seen numerous wins and defeats in his life. He wasnt a Pakistani even, now have you heard any pakistani getting a heart attack from the defeat? No. Bob has known that he will have to leave the Pakistani coaching ASAP as he could not bear the taunts / infighting and the slap on his face by Shoaib Akhtar. If I was in his place I would be too happy to get out of the group of messy people. The latest is that police suspect severe food poisoning of Bob with food he wasnt suppose to eat. The last supper he had was with the team.

The most rotten article i have seen . he should continue his novel work ,not columnist. No brain he has got whatever he said just senseless.

We need to treat crickets in this fashion after all the loosing a match lousily carelessly pathetically equivalently to Betrayal..

He must have got some serious tokens of good handsome gifts to write this article in a novelist sick way
.

Indian cricket team performs only under pressure. Many time players said we play at best under pressure .Now this pressure could be anything and in this case it is Public cricket fans Pressure ,take it and learn to handle it ,don't blame it.

It's a good article. I don't think anyone can call it anti India. Most of it are facts. Thanks for posting it.
However, the author shows ignorance while writing the article too. It is not fair to compare Indian cricket and English football.
Firstly, the level of dirty politics being played in Indian cricket by certaing people(Read:Greg,Dungarpur,LM,Bindra), is far greater than anything that exists in English football.
Watching this politics on news channels on a daily basis creates the suspicion in the minds of Indian cricket fans about the credibility of the player's presence in the Indian team. I don't imply that Dhoni doesn't deserve a place in the team, infact he is the best we have today. However he has been unfairly singled out by some fans for the wrongdoings of others.
Secondly, India is a different culture. Have you seen the English dancing crazily like us at their weddings. They don't! Because we are more passionate and emotional about things we love and admire. So lets not be ashamed of it.
Inspite of these traits, we should learn to be self diciplined and not destruct anyone's private property or family. The Dhoni incident should be condemned in the harshest words but lets not spare the guilty. Punish them by cricketing means and by them I mean anyone guilty. Noone should be sacrosanct.

Abir, it's cold blooded, brain dead extremists like you who incite hatred and murder peace. Try educating yourself before degrading someone%u2019s prophet. Whatever I have read, all the wars that the prophet of Mohammedans fought were imposed upon him & his people. And be sensitive towards others coz it doesn%u2019t take much for someone to turn around and insult your pious deities, either. Some of the character traits that stop some of us from doing what you did are probably our education, sensible thinking and upbringing, which you so desperately lack.

by amit chauhan on Mar 22, 2007 01:49 AM  Permalink

No Foreign coach should coach the Pakistan team now. Pakistan should not be allowed to play in cricket anymore. Bob Woolmer has been killed ; wut else can u expect from a country like Pakistan. The country should be banned from world cricket for few months or couple of years.

RIP BOB WOOLMER
by indiantothecore on Mar 22, 2007 01:36 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bob's death remains a tragic mystery.
Whatz more shocking is the Media locked in a knockout contest with each other to expose the most sensational rumor related to it with utter disregard for the deceased. Which must be indeed traumatic to his grief stricken family. May they find solace in justice.

I really hope Bob's death is not a murder by the Betting Org as is rumored, for it will scar the game of Cricket and Asian Teams forever. No foreign Coach will want to work for Asian Teams and International Players will not feel safe playing against them either.

Dude, if it ultimately turns out some Indian bookie didn't like that Woolmer couldn't deliver the goods, or may be a disgruntled Paki killed him, good to have the truth spilt out. Only serves justice to the guy who died so pitifully.

by Cric Fan on Mar 22, 2007 01:17 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I hope the west indies police brings the guilty to justice, even though they may be big cricketers of pakistan. You cannot expect paki or paki board to do the right thing, as they let even the cheaters/drug users akthar and asif go free.

Come on west indian police, you can do it, arrest the guilty before they fly on saturday
