Better you subtract ganguly score from the pevious match and look at the total score ....else subtract his score from the previous series and have a look at the total score. If ganguly got out yesterday just making 2 of 5 balls then tendulkar or dravid would have come and they might have played the same innings and u guys will tell they are trying to stabilise the innings....

Mr. Samuel had it not been for Saurav's knock the match against Bangladesh was well but over before we started defending the score...That 66 runs sored were vital and it was something that we could salvage our pride off... With regards to the other match he had to play slow as Sehwag was attacking and it doesnt make sense for 2 batsmen to attack at the same time specially in the initial stages he took his time and played the anchor role...We all know how effective his big hitting is and had he stayed back u wud have probbaly seen the highest score in the ODI's.... So lets not comment on someone who is the only one performing consistently since his return to ODI...

World Cup-07
by shrikant KULKARNI on Mar 20, 2007 03:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Even though we won the match against Bermuda, that does not mean we will reach super eight Either we have to win against Srilanka (50:50) or Bangladesh should loose to both lanka & Bermuda, then & then only we will reach super eight. anyway let's pray for India. Our batsman played good innings yesterday against Bermuda (inexperienced) Specially Sehwag was paying for (himself) country.

cricket and money
by always_right on Mar 20, 2007 03:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I don't understand many messages mix up cricket and money earned by cricketers. Whats the issue guys? Will you support a cricketer who is not getting any advertisements but doesn't perform also? The money earned by a cricketer is based on his marketability. If he doesn't perform they wont get the ads. Have you seen Irfan Pathan in any new ad? So don't crib, we make them stars and only if a person is marketable they can earn money. They earn till they deserve.

We should focus on their cricketing abilities and don't worry about how much they earn.

Mr. Right you are right, but why this happend with every player once they start winning small matches and start getting advertisements and then suddenly there is a huge downfall in their performance example, Sania Mirza, Leander Paes and Bhupati ( not ready to club even after knowing that they together are playing for India, attitude problem), Indian Hocket team(after the Sahara Sponsorship) ..

Now see Jaspal Rana, Anand (Chess), other athletes about we may not be even aware off....

So my friend once you are rich you tend to become lazy and less responsible......

And tell me about my song below

Boys let us do something different instead for praying for India to win let us start praying for the loss of Sri Lanka as well Ha ha ha ha what do you say......... hey prabhu thodi si to lift giraa de (drop down) lanka ki Nrr ki lift giraa de, Kaise Kaise ko jitaya (Bangladesh Vs. India), kaise kaise ko haraya (Ireland Vs. Pakistan), ek baar phir gira de (let Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka). thodi si to lift giraa de......

Hey guys what do you think do i write good songs ..........

As far as people getting lazy and less responsible, well thats not the formula to sustain success. They will be replaced by better guys. From being a captain if Ganguli can sit out for so many months, anybody else can.

India will 100% qualify for Super 8 not because of their performance but for below :

As on, in cricket world 100% money comes from indian advertisors like Hutch, Indian Oil, Hero Honda, Pepsi India, LG India (Billions of $)if india not qualify the advertisors would suffer a huge loss and it will impact on futurs of ICC financials.

On other hand the settelite channels all over the world who are telecasting the Cup live are also dependent on Indian Brands and if india stay there for only three match no brand will spend money on channels and the result will be the same as above in case of ICC.

I think you have understand what I mean .......Don't think its all rubbish........it is setting)

Everyone has the right to earn money through legal means. Yes folks, that includes players on the Indian Cricket team. The last time I checked, they were human beings and have all the rights that the Indian constitution extends onto all people in the country. The last time I checked, there was nothing illegal about being paid for endorsing a product and advertising for it on television.

So what if they earn a lot of money? Everybody has the right to earn a lot of money if the opportunity so arises. Everybody reading this message also has that right. You might lack the capacity to do so, but then that's your problem. Don't blame the Indian cricket team because they have what it takes to get someone to pay them a good deal of money to endorse their products.

I dont understand why is such a hue and cry made about a player endorsing a product. Y do u forget they only do these endorsements when they r not playing. Besides the shooting of these ads take just a day and gets shown throughout the year. Do u feel they go on doing endorsements throughout the year. Cmon y cant they earn money by endorsing products. These people can only earn money till they r playin i.e., till the age of 35 or 36. Then they usually dont have any job. Dont u think they should be able to earn as much money as possible in this short span. Besides all the players r hugely responsible for their country. Cmon its just a game of cricket. Everyone can defeat everyone on their day. Do u forget bangladesh defeating the mightly aussies. So things do happen. Just becoz these players endorse a brand, doesnt mean that they start playing poorly. Even they know that if they r not in a good form, they wont get any brands to endorse. So plz stop this crap.

Not a right time to Celeberate
by satish singh on Mar 20, 2007 03:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Although India has lodged an impressive win over Bermuda, but it is not the right time to celeberate. The huge total of 413 seems to be very good, but it would have even more if the star player could be able to rotate the striking end by taking single and more. There was about 150 dot balls,in indian inning,i.e., almost 30 overs, where no run was made. If this is the situation with a babe team like Bermuda, what will be the outcome of the match with Sri Landka and other strong Team?
Indian players should show the consistency and steadiness in their innings right from the staring of the play and not wait for slog Overs to score.
Best Luck to Indian Team

I agree. Even on the non-dot balls we hit fours/sixes. That won't be the case with Srilanka. We will be scoring far lesser number of sixes and fours. But each day is a new one. Lets not forget India has recently defeated Srilanka at home. The pitch and ground conditions in west indies are very similar. So, lets hope for the best.

there is no chance for india in this world cup, this is not a happy moment, will they do the no of sixes against chaminda vaas and murlidharan, its just a dream, cause srilanka don't want to fight with points to go to super 8, they want clear finish n top of the group, but we r indian n we lives on hope so just pray that jaysurya, sangkara, dilshan, jayvardhane out for duck n srilanka all out below 100 n india easily won the match but its dream, n dreams r not true.
n india not deserve for that look at bangladesh, they like australinas in the match btn india n bangladesh. they deserve to go to super 8 not india
