No matter what team you support, a incident like this is truly shocking, what a loss...i am sure all cricet lovers in the world will mourn bob's death.a big big tragedy in what has been a fantastic tournament so far
the news of sa demie of wooler comes as a great shock and disbekief to me and the cricketing world. a man dedicated towards his job and a great personality. my condolences to his family
Lets not forget, cricket is a game and is not supposed to decide the fate of anyone's life. I am sure Bob felt the pressure after yesterday's game and he took it in a hard way. This was very unfortunate and may his soul rest in peace. Lets take this as an example and make sure... irrespective of what happens to India in WC... we will not let the pressure get to any members of the cricket team to an extent that we suffer the same fate. We have a good board which will take required steps after the disappointing result but lets not give our team a harsh reception in case things go wrong. Bob Woolmer was one of the best coaches around and he did not deserve this.
Its we who take sports to the level of life and death. I hate myself for posting my anger in rediff message board in the eve of india loosing the match. see to what extent we can go. We mix our passion with the patriotism. Some of us have burnt the effigies of cricket players. Now we can understand what pressure and stress is there to be on the field. We simply see the match in our drawing room with all the comfort and peeve the cricketers for not playing well. yes we indians and pakistanis are emotionally involved in cricket. but pressuring one to commit suicide is nowhere near to human...

This is so true. Somebody has already slapped john wright. Who knows some crazed cricket fan will do?
Its sad that we tie our entire lives to how the indian team does. People in other nations also pay for tickets but when we do why do expect so much more than just a cricket match?

ya shame on you for thinking that hE can commit a suicide.. he was british not indian or pakistani for commiting suicide for such a foolish game... SHAME ON YOU ..
A very sad end for woolmer after watching his team crashing to defeat in a pathetic manner. Truly a great professional , a creater of ideas, may his soul rest in peace but i think there should be a few investigations relating to his death now.
