condolences
by sunilkumar mishra on Mar 19, 2007 01:28 AM  Permalink

What a shocking news is it? nobody imagined that frenzy, passion and undue expectations from millions of crazy fans in the subcontinent could have such an eventuality. He was a highly respected coach and it is a big loss to the cricketing world. My hearfelt condolences on his sad demise with an appeal to our countrymen to show restraint in their emotions towards our team. They deserve all our moral support at this juncture.

Bob Woolmer - A pioneer!
by Jayadev Menon on Mar 19, 2007 01:28 AM  Permalink

Bob Woolmer stooped over his laptop was a familiar sight duirng cricket broadcasts in the last decade. He revolutionised the way coaching was conducted in cricket. He brought in systems and processes into the analyses so that it was no longer a game of chance.

A fantastic cricketing personailty - I will miss his presence on TV.

Bad for cricket as a sport
by amol gulve on Mar 19, 2007 01:24 AM  Permalink

This is one of the saddests moments in cricket history. Cricket as gained such an international awareness and incidents like these just prove that we are not treating the game as a sport. Winning and losing are part of the life and we shud be prepared for thw worst cases..
i just pray to god for Bob's soul to rest in peace

Saddest Chapter of the world of cricket
by Vijay Kaundal on Mar 19, 2007 01:21 AM  Permalink

This is saddest chapter of the world of cricket. Bob was a fantastic personality and a dedicated coach. He didn't deserve such a death. He deserved much better life and death than this. I wish that his soul lie in peace.
