This is very shocking for international cricket. He was honest cricketer and great coach. His chemistry with Late Hensy Cronie was amazing.

May the Soul rest in peace.
No denying the fact that tension & presuure has taken its toll - what kind of mad game we r in . Game should be for joy , not to take someone's life... for the sake of ad-business, let us all boycot this trend.

demise of Bob
by Kuldip on Mar 19, 2007 10:22 AM  Permalink

Realy it is shocking and surprising for the world of cricket. If it is natural death, it shows Bob's involvement with Pak's performance.

May God give peace to Bob's departed soul.

Bob was a fintastic coaching commitment with SA. But the men like Bob's nature are totally unfit for coaching to nations like India & Pakistan.

Realy it is very sad for Pakistani cricket and world cricket.

Woolmer's death
by sujoy palit on Mar 19, 2007 10:22 AM  Permalink

It is really sad to hear the sudden demise of Woolmer. It is a very bad day for world cricket.
It is now the time for introspection why this happened.Only due to execessive media hype, tremendous pressure is built upon the players and coach alike. For buiding up the TRP rating printing and electronic media as well discuss/write all non sense, people go on to do all non sense things like burning of effigies, attacking players houses only for getting media attention thus pytting enormous pressures.Media must play a constructive role and deviate fromp telecasting such non sense coverages.Irrespective of win or defeat, let the players and coaches concentrate on their respective jobs.

It was real shocking and surprising to hear the sad demise of Bob Woolmer. He was a down to earth person. His coaching stint with South Africa was one of the best ever the world had seen(specially a chemistry with Hensy croney). The untimely demise of Bob has created a great void in the cricket faternity. At this difficult time God give strength to his family members and all his admirers. May his soul rest in peace.

Tragic death of Bob Woolmer
by Rarepv on Mar 19, 2007 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Don't know on what note this World cup has started but we hear most unexpected/unwanted news when we wake up everyday in the morning. First it was defeat of India at the hands of Bangladesh, Pak being out of World cup and now Bob's demise. The first two losses are surmountable but not the third one.

Hope the saga ends here.

Bob has been a committed and loyalist coach, dedicated person and great human being. Hope his family would be able to overcome this huge loss. May his soul rest in peace.
