Whatever he had done and did for the PCB is hats off. the man stood with lots of criticism from the players and the PCB. he just could not take the defeat of Pakistan with Ireland.

we should start thinking now
by cattamanchi chaitanya on Mar 19, 2007 10:45 AM  Permalink

My heartly condolenses to his family . Atleast now we Indians should all think about the hype we give to Cricket .. We can see lot of protests all over when India lost a match . This causes more stress for the coaches , who can only teach . They can take the camels near the pond , but cant make them drink .

I hope atleast now pakistan fans(and Indian fans) should stop seeing Cricket as a semi god .

Sudden Death of Bob
by SUJATHAA on Mar 19, 2007 10:45 AM  Permalink

Media in India & Pakistan are crazy and it has taken its toll now. Bob was an intelligent coach the cricket world will certainly miss. Its high time the cricketers are not portrayed as Gods and advt's are made of them.Lets them play the game in true spirit and that's it.......No more interviews and Advts of these players pls.

An end to ERA
by Vikrant Aery on Mar 19, 2007 10:41 AM  Permalink

This shows how cricket in asia effects lives. Behave like sports, doing all this shit by burning posters, creating nonsense at players places will mark these kind of incidents more often. Let them play and have fun

salute to woolmer
by jeevitesh kumar on Mar 19, 2007 10:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This all has happened due to undue media hype.

cricket in INDIA & PAKISTAn has been hyped to such an extent that WOOLMER couldn't sustain the pressure. No foreign coach will now think to come to sub-continent.

Optimisim comes when you become associated with pakistan cricket team. There can be so many things Woolmer must have taken with himself. He has always been there in all odd circumstances,no other coach could have sustained the cirumstances of ever infighting pakistani cricketers.I think this is the death of Optimisim in silence.May his soul rest in peace.

the TV media in India, especially the likes of star news, and ndtv, hypes the cricket fever so much that people ted to do all the eiffy burning etc... and even that is hyped... the media will go to any extent to get hiher Ad money.. i think the root cause for al this is the kind of advertisig and the money behind advertising..

if such things are not cotrolled, more such similar incidents can happen..

Salute to woolmer.
