SHOKING NEWS
by Cool on Mar 19, 2007 12:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It was shocking to hear bob woolmer sudden death.Whole cricket world can't belive this.My condelences to his family.
Now adays people are putting lot of pressure on cricket team as well as coach to perform.During 1980's and 90's crcket was played very calm without much tension.

Y'day whole news was about India's defeat any chennel you tune you find same news. I don't know why channels are making big news. In olden days it was taken very easily .They are increasing unnssary problem for public showing the images of buring effegy and posters of cricketers? do they have any mind? The game shouls be taken with sportmen spirt "which ever team plays well will win the matches" and by putting pressure.

Stress Death or Sucide?
by Narayanan Vincent on Mar 19, 2007 12:07 PM  Permalink

Bob Woolmer made the world sit up and take notice with his advanced methods in Cricket Coaching. But of what use is all of that, if Stress on and off the Cricket Field cannot be battled effectively. Was this a case of Stress post the Pak-Ireland match or was it a simple case of his health giving in? A man of his position and stature, knew he had Diabetes and was taking the required precautions to contain the disease. Therefore logic tells me that the shock loss to Ireland sent his Blood Sugar shooting skywards, that could have led to all the vomitting and release of blood. A man who brought so much joy to South Africa and Pakistan died in terrible pain. Or could he have comitted suicide fearing the backlash of fans and critics back home in Pakistan when the tean landed there? The Post Mortem report will have the final answers.

Don't we therefore as nation need to enjoy this gentleman's game as much as possible instead of inflicting pain on ourselves by being so 'reactive' to the way our team plays?

Peace and Regards
Narayanan Vincent, Chennai

Do not be judgemental before the reports arrive
by Lovable Attitude on Mar 19, 2007 12:07 PM  Permalink

Although Bob Woolmer's death is tragic and saddening, we cannot blame the Pakistani team for hos "death" perse, remember truth does rear its ugly head. Bob Woolmer's death to be natural or unnatural cannot be given a debatable tag, as far as the news goes all we can say is, it was due to stress resulting in heart-attack, he found it difficult to deal with rejection, wait till the reports arrive before accusing anyone. condolences goes out to Woolmer's family !

World cup of disasters
by Sridhar .M on Mar 19, 2007 12:04 PM  Permalink

This has been a world cup of disasters both on and off the field. First the tragic death of Ex -Bangladeshi cricketers and now the tragic demise if Bob Woolmer.Bob had a passion for the game and the same has paid him. May the almighty give courage to his family for the inseperable loss.May the Pakistan team certainly repay for this in terms of better performance and good team behaviour in the years to come.
