A sad Day
by sanju on Mar 19, 2007 12:41 PM  Permalink

Most of the times your secesses is count on your results. It also happend with bob. He is one of the most hard working man in his field.I remembering a story that my father want to make me doctor, in order to do so he worked very hard, but i didnot sucessed.Kow i realised that to achive tht goal i have to work hard not my father. Pakistan team and management iresponsible behaviour is the killer of this person. In south asian contery personal igoes are much superior than national pride.
Sorry, It is a heart breaking news.

by Dr. Vinay Gupta on Mar 19, 2007 12:40 PM  Permalink

Looking to reports, circumstances and situation after Pak defeat; can one say that it was a death??
Things are indicating a very sorry sign for games as a whole- a highly probable MURDER disguised with modern medicine science!!

Life is precious
by Prakash Rajagopalan on Mar 19, 2007 12:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I hope he died of Heart attach due to natural causes rather than stress or disappointment. I feel very strongly that it is just a game for pure entertainment. But with the sub-continent madness of this game it is not allowing a normal life for any one for that matter. I hope this sad incident gives a serious thought to everyone concerned how to treat a game.

First i express my deep condolences to his family memebers and his freinds. Iam really shocked shocked, i cannot belive my ears and eyes when i first heard and seen this news. This is real warning for all mad cricket lovers, as u said this is sport and just for entertainment but subcontinent people and in particualr pak and indians treat this so serious beyond just as sports. till friday dhoni was hero and from saturday we all seen in all news channels how people behaved. My humble request to all cricket fans, just watch the good game and enjoy dont create so much hype. What a sad end to great man of cricket. Lived for cricket and died for it. Bob we really going to miss u. May yr soul rest in peace.

by minar rao rao on Mar 19, 2007 12:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When coachs, from other countries come to coach ,sub continental teams , they never expect the ammount of passion and devotion the game gets in these part, I m deeply shocked and my condolences to his family. But what if India loses its last league match against Sri Lanka. ? We all know how much certain ppl in india dislike Chappell, i pity him.

I am also deeply shocked at this news. My deepest and heart felt commiseration to his family and friends. It is really very very sad that Woolmer had to go thru this trauma!
Would our indian cricketers understand, the depth of anticipation of victory by the fellow indians ? Can they atleast now wake up ?

Chappel will not die... Instead, he will stay there itself to enjoy the virgin beaches in West Indies, and then will fly back to australia from there itself. The poor fella could not find out a bunch of 11 or 15 good players and not even a single genuine allrounder even after doing experiments from last 3 years.

Bob's death
by chinmoy chatterjee on Mar 19, 2007 12:25 PM  Permalink

This is very sad news but more imp. is his death was natural or unnatural.
Hansie Cronye's(sorry for the incorrect spelling) death was also mysterious.
Perhaps the mystery of this kind of mysterous death will remain mysterious for ever.

It was also a great mystery why Pak deducted
Shoieb Akhtar,Asif and Razzakh fr the team.

Cricket is becoming a game of so many hotchpotches. Now India need to stop playing cricket. We shd concentrate in that area fr where we can give a new start for making a strong nation.

well it is diffuclt to believe he died naturally! i have a feeling he was drugged with poison by some insider to take revenge of the pak teams loss!it is very shameful that people cant take defeat with a smile!however post mortem report may confirm the facts. Bob may ur soul rest in peace and God give strenght to his family for such a irrepairable loss

I am dead sure that it is an act of poisoning by Pakistani intelligence (ISI), or some fanatic Pakistani supporter or someone from the Pakistani team. The way Woolmer's body was found, mouth wide open, blood around and surprise of surprises, vomit was splattered all over the walls (and not the sink or the comode in the loo), it clearly shows he died of poisoning and his body reacted violently in the end. The fanatisism in a majority of the Pakistani population has once again come to the forefront by this incident.

Very sad indeed
by Yash Malik on Mar 19, 2007 12:20 PM  Permalink

I really feel sorry for Bob Woolmer, my honest gratitude for his family. It appears unbelievable how a strong and enthusiastic man like him can be overshadowed by an unexpected defeat. He was the coach of South Africa in late 90s under the captaincy of Hansie Cronje. That was the time when the South Africans were almost undefeatable. They lost only 32 matches and won 109 matches in 144 ODIs under woolmer's caching. May god rest his soul in peace.

The News of an untimely passing away of an International Sport figure Mr. Robert Andrew Woolmer, popularly known as "BOB" has left the Indians in Deep Shock. Its indeed an irreparable loss, a vacuum which can't be filled. A shock to INDIA first as he was an Indian, born in India, then to Pak as being a genius to them and then to England, his KARMA BHOOMI. I, on behalf of all Citizens of Free India, post my condolences to the aggreived & berieved family, his friends, relatives and countrymen.

As & when I seen the news on one of the TV Channels that Mr. Bob Woolmer found uncouncious in his Hotel Room, I thought, its just a mild shock due to the failure of Pak agst Ireland but a couple a moments later when I saw 'BOB dead" left me just SHOCKED. I asked to God, why this happened my God, but controlled by senses a bit later that whom I'm asking this question ? A Deep sense of Grief will remain forever as to why he has been called so early by Almighty.
