I smell a rat
by t games on Mar 19, 2007 12:13 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think the death by poison gives way to suspicioun that its a MURDER... any angry pakistani fan, or maybe shoaib akhtar taking revenge....

I seriously think its not a natural death.

by Debankar Dutta on Mar 19, 2007 12:12 AM  Permalink

lets pray that his soul may rest in peace. rediff should not write like this "Pakistan coach Woolmer dead", as if some terrorists have been killed. shame on rediff.

let the dead rest
by shahul hamid on Mar 19, 2007 12:11 AM  Permalink

bob woolmer was indeed a good coach. no doubt that. coach is only a guide and not the leader. if pak were out for 132, then woolmer cant go in field and bat for them. everybody knows how much successful he was with hansie cronje. infact south africa became wat they r not in one day mainly due to his methods. peace be upon him.

A sad day for cricket
by vikram dev thakur on Mar 19, 2007 12:10 AM  Permalink

it is a tragedy resulting from the hype created by the media which drives common people to frenzy and puts great pressure on everybody. Only hope there was no foul play involved. that would hurt even more. In the end cricket is just a game like any other. RIP Mr Woolmer

A Great Loss to Cricket World
by Raj on Mar 19, 2007 12:09 AM  Permalink

Our thoughts and prayers go the family of Bob Woolmer.

This is a SAD moment in WorldCup and Cricket in general.

It's one thing that a team get humiliated like this, but a person, excellent coach dying in this situation calls for more introspection.

I doubt if he poisoned himself, he has seen worse times in paki cricket, for that matter, paki cricket is now at its lowest ebb.

May God Bless His Soul !

Pakistan and thier team is directly or indirectly responsible for his death!!

ps: Game is a game, plz abstain from saying same things about Greg. It's just a sport, winning and loosing is part of the game. A person life is more than a games result !
