Woolmer!!!
by Indra Sengupta on Mar 19, 2007 12:17 AM  Permalink

One can not but feel for the guy who took the caching job so seriously and got involved to such an extent.

As a serious cricket lover my eyes are becoming wet.

May Lord give peace to Bob's soul

Its tragic. If Pak's exit from World Cup has something to do with Bob's death -and if some foul play was done with him -then its extremely unfortunate that man is indulging in sport too much. Sport should be taken as sport only. We love cricket -but it should not cross the limit of being merely a sport.

Mr.Bob Woolmer passing away is a gr8 tragedy to d world cricket! it only shows tht he was a true sportsman who coached a team wid whom he had just professional relation.he tried to guide them.tried v hard but found out tht d players he is guiding doesnt need anyones guidance and only wants to take d name of allah n sit in their backyard.esp players like inzamam, shoaib akhtar etc.more imp being inzy.even b4 their world cup exit, there were rumours of a fall out bw inzi n mr woolmer, that inzy no more listens to him nor let any1 listen to him!n i believe this was a heartbreaking moment for mr woolmer n the defeat by minnows ireland really shocked him so badly that he culdnt digest it!i m sure inzy n other pak members culd digest it because they all believe they r playing for allah n not because of sportsman spirit!shame 2 inzy and other pak members! icc shuld step up now n take a guard against this and take hard action against d players who made woolmer die!!! wish woolmers soul rest in peace!

I wish people like Sameer dave should die as soon as possible coz even at such a tragic moment of Mr.Woolmer's dead,he is more interested in creating religious differences.

This was a tough aussie. No way he would have committed suicide.
Pakistan should be banned from cricket.

Dhuryodhan,
He was not an aussie. He was British.

Very tragic
by Gowda on Mar 19, 2007 12:14 AM  Permalink

My respects for woolmer and my condolences to his family & friends.

This just shows how much he has given to his role as coach. I wish indians and pakistan players are as true as this fellow.

We have become monsters!
by harshajyoti phukan on Mar 19, 2007 12:14 AM  Permalink

All of us have ceased to remain human beings. Some of the comments posted here are not becoming of humans!
We are all a bunch of losers...so what do we do? We see ourselves in a bunch of cricket players, and turn their fortunes into our own. No one plays or watches games/movies to enjoy any more.
And now we mock a person (who was probably one of the greatest coaches in the game) even in his death.
Shame on us!
