Inzamam-ul-Haq, Pakistan's shattered captain, has announced his retirement from one-day cricket. The match against Zimbabwe, Pakistan's last of this World Cup, following their shock defeat against Ireland on Saturday, will be his valedictory appearance in that form of the game.

Just cut down the hype guys...Sourav cant do miracles..nor can Chappel...take a lesson from Bob Woolmer's death and mull over it...in any case India pays too much attention to cricket at the cost of globally popular sports like football.

Great Panday, From a cow belt I find you are the frist person become intelligent, and taking about football, great. But football will not be given a chance as that is dominated by Bengal.

my deepest sympathy to bobs family
It shows the the amount of pressure one has as a coach..the cricket is no more considered to be entertaining one rather it is more commercial given the amnt of money involved..... the pressure mounts once the team fails make a mark in the international matches....... it is just hw the world see everything today...everybody wants the result no matter wt u do hw u do.. parents want result from childern teachers want result from student companies want result from its employees
but the result is commitning suside..heart attacks the crazy criket fans should understand its just a game.. the medias have understand its just a game the players have to understand its just a game.
Nearly 200 messages i read all over rediff not even one i found to be even 1% positive about the indian team. Agreed they played pathetic it was probably one of the worst performance from out top 11 but its all again part and parcel of game. Dravid told earlier itself that it is the day of the players who perform bangladeshis did and we didnt. thats it now its the end. on this basis you cannot judge our teams performances against SL and Bermuda. those are different days different situations not necessarily we will loose them. Guys be orignal fans and not fake ones. if you support someone you gotta be with them during their bad times and not good. during good times everyone can be with them. its now when they need us please be little positive. i hope atleast the educated lot understand me. Cheers GOOG LUCK INDIAN TEAM M STILL WITH YOU

I totally agree with you. I saw so many hate mails from fans and was wondering whether this was a sport (game) or WAR?? If there was so much of pressure of Pakistani people on their cricket team, wonder what pressure would be on Indian team too. To some extent i agree that Indian cricketers are guilty of too much exposure with Ads, publicity etc., but then on the field there could be some letdowns. I am also with Indian team...GOOD LUCK.

its good they got an awakening call, remember the last time the same happened then they were in the finals
Bob Woolmer was a great man. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family. This is really shocking news. It should also serve as a reminder to people that ultimately it is the people who make the game better that are more important than the game itself. My heartfelt condolences to Bob Woolmer's family.

It is good that now you people have started to realise how effective Sourav Ganguli was as a captain. But when Sourav was captain, most of you people were anty, because Sourav is Bengali.

Common a party should be organized for the whole of BCCI and the players and a few grams of Cyanide will do the job...
