The coach takes the toll!!
by Suhanya on Mar 19, 2007 08:22 AM  Permalink

ITs very sad to know that Woolmer had passed away..but to be frank it should be accepted that he died cos of the stress and lot of other factors that involved around Pakistan cricket and the PAK cricket board..n offcourse not to emtnion the palyers ..and the team has been seen going through a lot of things apart form the poor performances like players getting banned..their personal lives exposed n on top of that ,the team performing under-par when they have all the skills to perform par to the top nations..Fnally all fingers point to two people..THE COACH AND THE CAPTAIn..it all takes a toll on the coach ..And not to mention the wildest reactions the Pakistan team and Woolmer wd have(will) face from the cricket media and the public of the cricket crazy country...

the fear factor also contributed to his massive heart attack i believe..but after all its a game n surprises n defeats n shocks are supposed to happen..that keeps the game alive..it is time for the public to realise that the cricketers are also human beings and offcourse the coach..but its too late ..the coach has bore the brunt of it by loosing the most precious thing..HIS LIFE!

May God give all the courage to His wife and the family!!

A great coach and master architect of tactics. Its very shocking news for us all.If players do not do well it is coaches face the heat and pressure. This is a devastating example.
May his soul rest in peace.Entire cricketing world miss him

Mann its people like you that give India such a bad name. Yeahh we should ea country of 20 year olds, all fo them below 25. Youth youth thats it.. There should be no place for older experienced smart healthy people. But young people who by being young automatically are more valuable than anyone else. If it wasnt for your old man and all of ours India would be a sucky place.. Appreciate effort of people who have laid a great foundation for you (instead of creating a minefield). I hope the current youth knows something more than spending the money (the IT guys have worked half as much as their dads and grandpas) on lavish lifestyles. For me the grey hair indicates a lot of values none of which can be understood. Good lord, there isnt a country more crazier for youth as India, and that to me is myopic. But why talk to a stone. Whats the point. I am too old who cares about my opinion.. haha.. I hope the young ones elarn something more about the US, even a 80 eyar old can do a job and do it well..

Hi,

your statement clearly shows how immature you are. Why don't you apply for the coach of Pakistan or India I am sure they will do wonders with your coaching.

Yes golden, we are brainless....because we do create 12 billionnaires every year, create new technologies. I think the sales of AK-47 and bombs have gone down in Paki...woolmer has paid the price of coach of terrorist nation. India keep loosing, we react even but we never use poison as the supply of deadly weapons including Pakisthan is being stopped courtesy uncle sam!
