RE:Woolmer Dead
by Pavan Reddy on Mar 19, 2007 10:20 AM  Permalink
This is not at all the correct statement........
Even if i am against Pakistani's,i will never support this statement.
Woolmer has died because he has not taken the games with Sporting spirit. That is his mistake not Pakis mistake.
In before statement it is their as GC is the next person.....who told ???????????If it is like that, than their should come a rule that when ever a team loose a match coach has to die......what u say????????

Bob was one of the best coaches cricket has even seen. It was under his coaching that South Africa groomed and reached new heights. He should not be blamed alone for Pakistan's shocking defeat. No doubt its the pressure of defeat and answering the critics that might have caused Woolmer's death.

May god give peace to his soul...

What can a coach do with 11 asses ....
by Chandra Inaganti on Mar 19, 2007 09:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Pakistan Team is solely responsible for Woolmers untimely death. I feel even Greg Chappell would have lost a beat or two on our defeat at the hands of Bangladesh. What can a coach do when all he can do is to lead our 11 asses to the water who vehemently refuse to drink

A few Suggestions to the Selection Comitee.....
by Shan on Mar 19, 2007 09:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. Call back the present Indian Team and send a totally fresh team by choosing the best teenagers from the state teams..Even if they loose not a problem we are destined to loose even with the present team.

2. Send Greg Chappel back(Preferabaly as coach for the Pakistan Team) and appoint Sandeep Patil as the next coach of Indian Team with immediate effect.

3. Sack all the members of the selection committee and conduct a online opinion polls from the Indian citizen before any series, and the top 11 members from the opinion poll goes to play the series...

Jai Hind....

People should not be sentimental on such issues. We have made cricket as a show business. You cannot blame all to India. Its a Game and on that day Bangladesh has won the match by their performance. In 1983, India was similar team, but players are known one to every body. Here, even you cannot named a single peron of Bangladesh.
Everybody even galli walla knows what is a strength and weakenesses of our players, but nobody knows same of Bangladesh Players.
There was a loophole in planning against individual. Our team has not planned well against them. Also, Bangladesh in now way under pressure, whereas there is opposite if Indian players are concerned.

Coach is like a teacher of a school. But today it is rare that people respects coach or teacher. People are loosing patience for a simple thing mostly new generation.

So, better hope for the best and also donot pressurise Indian cricketers.

Also, if players are earnings then it is only the adv. agencies who are paying them, it is also connected to our passion for Cricket. If people will not go and watch cricket, why Adv. Ag. will go to players. There are lots of others games, so better leave cricket as a normal game as others. Only ask/tell them to try to win/plan for individual games. Clubs of short planning will make sure them to win the cup. Otherwise not.

Also, we pray and have deep condolence for BobWoolmer. May his family get easily recover from such trauma.

Are Teachers' responsible if you fail in your Exams? Sould schools sack Teachers if a student fails? Have your parents kicked you out of house & took in someone else? Were Clive Lloyd and his men kicked out of West Indies when they lost the Cup to India in 1983? Were we not minnows then? Bangladesh today is playing like to Indian Cricket Team of 1983. Let us humbly accept THAT and wish our team the best. BALAJI, Secunderabad

John, I too agree with you. This should be investigated thoroughly and ascertain if there was any foul play in his death. My heart goes to the families of Woolmer. Inzy could withstand the loss, but whereas coach could not?
