Shock of the life
by mohammed khalil on Mar 19, 2007 11:01 AM  Permalink

I am shocked to hear the news. I really respected Woolmer for Immense potential to coach. I remember the days when he choached South Africa and took the team to a very high level cricket paying nation. Cricket world has lost a gem, thats all i can say. Adnan Khalil

The remark of Vijay is shocking he is forseeing the the death of greg which is really disgusting. A game is not bigger then the any body's life. I deeply condole the sudden demise of Bob Woolmer its a shock to the entire cricket world. Game is game one has to win and one has to lose but u can not see any bodys death just for the game. I wish greg a long and healty life.

George, yes'day was Sunday. Hope you went to Church? Who conducted the Mass? I mean whose Father? Is it wrong to respect Elders & regard them as your own Father? Is it not painful that you make mockery of Death of someone, that too in the period of "Lent" days. For this, Jesus gave up his life? Do you ever pray on All Soul's Day?. Please learn to respect atleast the dead, and let us understand your upbringing. Being a Hindu, I u/stand the significance of Good Friday & Easter Sunday. I hope you do respect such sacrifices. By the way most people whose name is Robert is associated someway with the Bible. The 1782 Aitken Bible:

The First English Bible Printed in America. A leaf from the first Bible printed in the English language in America. These leaves are 224 years old. Called %u201CThe Bible of the Revolution%u201D, Robert Aitken%u2019s little Bible was small enough to fit into the coat pocket of the Revolutionary War soldiers. The leaves measure only 6 inches tall by almost 4 inches wide. The only Bible printing ever called for by an act of the United States Congress. Robert = Religion. In some parts of the World, Cricket is Religion.God Bless! BALAJI, Secunderabad

Strange death!
by sai on Mar 19, 2007 10:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As far as i read this, could this be a suicide or a murder.. (in way of poisoning)...

Blood spatters in the bathroom, vomitus on the walls.... strange run of events leaves every1 to speculate.....

I feel, two possibilities.... He might have consumed something........ cos, pakisthan, more so like India, is mad with cricket and people's notions run very very high with the country's performance at every game... It was no doubt a humiliating defeat..... and fans beleive their coutnry should win each and every game... i am sure some1 made some phone calls threatening of dier consequences on his return to his country, after the team's defeat which might have lead to his death in way of suicide, consuming something.........

seocondly, it could be a death in way of poisoning by mixing soemthing in his drink or something..(murder).......

I feel these two things are somewhat appropriate that might have happened... i am jus speculating and put up this message... other's pls let me know if have gone completly wrong on his death... this discussion is on his death, and lets talk about it..

Im not sure if i shud speculate in such a way in the discussion board, but if i am not supposed to, then plez excuse me...... all are talking about this events leading to his death or the game, but none are talking about the way he died... some1 plz talk about this if we can speak on this...

Woolmer
by Hariharan on Mar 19, 2007 10:55 AM  Permalink

In Sports one will win some and lose some times. True sports lover won't take defeat as a nation's pride. That's we say spoirtsman spirit. But now the sports also became a tool for nations to emotioanlly blaockmail all. Woolmer is a great coach .Pak's defeat might be reason for his sudden death. His osul may rest in peace. Please treat game as a game and have sportsman ship. watch game, enjoy and forget. Don't take emotionally. This is all game played by Media.

Media and Icc both r accused for the sad turn of events. Both of this can do anything for money .They created such an overhype that ppl took winning a match as national pride.CRicket these days nowhere a gentlemen game.ITs a money game News channels recruit retired cricketrs to make comments on present team even ladies are exposed as item girls in the discussion.
